JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT US

Better Credit Challenge (BCC) is a US-based credit repair AND funding company.

We help people fix their credit AND get funded once their credit is strong enough.
Credit repair is the front door. Funding is the bigger door behind it.
Our clients come in with damaged credit. We help them clean it up. Then we help them
access business loans, personal funding, and capital for the goals they couldn't reach
before — homes, businesses, real estate investments.

We're currently at $10K/month recurring revenue with an 8-person team (operations side
is Philippines-based, like you'd be). We're hiring the person who will help us scale
to $50K/month, then $100K, then $500K.

Our stack: GoHighLevel, Stripe, Make.com, Zapier, Meta Business Manager, ManyChat, Smart Credit, Skool, Slack, Notion.

WHAT WE NEED

We are NOT hiring a builder.
We are hiring a PROACTIVE OPERATOR.

We need someone who:
? Sees what's broken before being asked
? Spots what's missing and brings solutions
? Doesn't wait for tasks — creates the roadmap
? Stays current with automation tools and brings new ideas every month
? When BCC misses an opportunity, you're the one who noticed first
? Understands you'll be building automation for TWO sides of the business —
credit repair workflows AND funding workflows

If you wait for instructions and only do what's asked, this role is not for you.
Please don't apply — we will not consider you and it wastes both our time.

REQUIRED SKILLS

You must have ALL of the following:

? Deep GoHighLevel (GHL) experience — workflows, custom fields, pipelines, webhooks,
calendars, phone routing
? UTM tracking and attribution — end-to-end (you can debug why a lead source isn't
showing up)
? Facebook Pixel + CAPI — full integration knowledge
? Funnel design — cold lead all the way to retained client
? Zapier OR Make.com (preferably both)
? Stripe webhook handling
? Strong English (written + spoken) — you'll work directly with our US-based founder
? Documentation discipline — you write down what you build, every time

NICE-TO-HAVE (bonus skills, not required)
? ManyChat (Instagram/Facebook messenger automation)
? Google Tag Manager + GA4
? Twilio (phone routing under the hood)
? Email deliverability (SPF/DKIM/DMARC)
? Basic JavaScript for custom webhook handling
? TikTok Pixel + CAPI
? Smart Credit or credit-related platform experience
? Experience with funding / lending / financial services automation
? Familiarity with credit score data, dispute tracking, or financial KPIs

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY

CREDIT REPAIR SIDE:
• Build and maintain GHL workflows for lead routing, client onboarding,
payment recovery, and retention
• Architect Smart Credit integration deeper
• Build automation around dispute round tracking and client communications
• Manage CSM workflow automation (matching, onboarding, retention)

FUNDING SIDE:
• Build automation for funding eligibility detection
(Month 4+ clients with score progress = funding candidates)
• Architect Funding Manager workflows (consultation booking, application tracking)
• Build integrations with lender platforms as we scale
• Create funding-specific lead capture and nurture funnels

ACROSS BOTH:
• Architect attribution across Meta Ads ? GHL ? Stripe ? revenue
• Connect Stripe, GHL, Slack, Drive, Smart Credit
• Document everything you build in Notion
• Daily Slack updates to leadership
• Weekly sync with Founder and Operations Manager

BIGGER PICTURE (where you grow)

• Audit our current systems and propose improvements (proactively, not when asked)
• Spot opportunities we're missing and bring them to us
• Build infrastructure that scales from $10K to $500K MRR without rewrites
• Architect the funding side as a major revenue stream
• Eventually lead a small automation team as we grow

COMPENSATION + GROWTH

STARTING SALARY: $800 USD/month

Why we start here:
We start every hire at $800/month because we test work ethic and proactivity first,
then reward fast for proven performance. We've built in automatic raises at Month 3
and Month 6 so strong performers see growth quickly.

Be honest with yourself: if $800 feels too low for your skill level, this isn't the role.
If you want to prove yourself and earn UP fast, this is the role.

GROWTH PATH:
? Month 3 (automatic raise): $1,000/month — given you're meeting basic expectations
? Month 6 (automatic raise): $1,200/month — given you're meeting basic expectations

Beyond Month 6, raises are performance-tied:

? Month 9-12: $1,400-1,600/month for strong performers
? Year 1-2: $1,700-2,000/month for proactive operators
? Year 2-3: $2,000-2,500/month for exceptional long-term performers

PERFORMANCE BONUSES at company milestones:
• $300 bonus when BCC hits $25K MRR
• $500 bonus at $50K MRR
• $1,000 bonus at $100K MRR
• $2,500 bonus at $500K MRR

Payment: Monthly via Wise (1st of each month)
Hours: 40-45 hours/week with 4-5 hours daily overlap with US business hours
Type: Independent contractor (full-time)

???????????????????????????????????????????????????
OUR HIRING PROCESS
???????????????????????????????????????????????????

We use a multi-round filter because the wrong hire costs us months.
Here's exactly what to expect (we're upfront so you can decide if it's worth your time):

???????????????????????????????????????????????????
ROUND 1: Application + cover letter
???????????????????????????????????????????????????
(This is what you're doing now)
???????????????????????????????????????????????????
ROUND 2: 30-minute video interview
???????????????????????????????????????????????????
With our Founder and Operations Manager

???????????????????????????????????????????????????
ROUND 3: 1-week UNPAID audit task
???????????????????????????????????????????????????
(Only top 7 candidates advance to this round)

You'll get view-only access to our actual GoHighLevel account.
You audit it and deliver a 1-2 page report on:
- What's broken
- What's missing
- What we should fix first
- Estimated business impact of each fix

This round filters out candidates who aren't serious about the role.
We're transparent: this round is UNPAID. The next round IS PAID.

???????????????????????????????????????????????????
ROUND 4: 1.5-WEEK PAID BUILD ROUND ($400 USD)
???????????????????????????????????????????????????
(Only top 2 finalists from the audit advance to this round)

This is where we see if you can EXECUTE what you proposed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

You'll be given:
• A sandbox GoHighLevel account (separate from our live BCC account)
• 1.5 weeks (10-11 working days)
• $400 USD paid via Wise within 48 hours of presentation
• Sample data + custom fields pre-populated so you can test as you build

YOUR JOB:

Take the TOP 2 PRIORITIES from your own audit and actually build them.
Not all your recommendations. Just the 2 most critical workflows.

We want QUALITY over QUANTITY:
? 2 workflows built EXCEPTIONALLY beats 5 workflows built sloppily
? YOU choose which 2 — based on your audit's priority ranking
? The choice itself tells us how you prioritize

For each workflow, you must deliver:
1. A fully functional workflow in the sandbox (working, tested, edge cases handled)
2. Written documentation (1 page max per workflow, plain English so anyone can follow)
3. A Loom video walkthrough (5-10 minutes) showing the workflow working
4. A live 30-minute Zoom presentation with Jamal + Mary Ann at the end

???????????????????????????????????????????????????
WHAT WE'RE EVALUATING (How We Pick Between The 2)
???????????????????????????????????????????????????

Both finalists will be technically competent — you made it through the audit.
The difference between you and the other finalist will show up in HOW you build,
not WHAT you build.

We're scoring 5 traits:

1. PROACTIVITY (most important)
? Did you go BEYOND what was asked?
? Did you add monitoring, alerts, or edge case handling we didn't request?
? Did you document something proactively because it would help BCC?
? Top performers do MORE than what's specified.
2. EXECUTION QUALITY
? Is the workflow clean and maintainable, or hacky?
? Did you handle edge cases (errors, duplicates, timing issues)?
? Could another engineer maintain this without asking you?
3. COMMUNICATION
? Can you explain technical decisions to non-technical leadership clearly?
? Do you defend your choices with logic (not ego)?
? When we push back on your approach, do you discuss or get defensive?

4. EDGE CASE THINKING
? We will ask: 'What happens if Stripe fires twice in 1 second?'
? We will ask: 'What happens if the workflow errors mid-execution?'
? We want to see you've thought about failure modes — not just happy path.
5. DOCUMENTATION
? Could a stranger pick up your docs and operate the workflow?
? Is it organized, scannable, useful?
? Or a wall of text written last-minute?

???????????????????????????????????????????????????
TIMELINE FOR THE 1.5 WEEKS
???????????????????????????????????????????????????

Day 1-2: Plan what you're building, set up sandbox, design approach
Day 3-4: Start building Workflow #1
Day 4: Mary Ann sends a check-in message — your response is part of evaluation
Day 5-7: Build Workflow #2, test both thoroughly
Day 8-9: Polish, document, record Loom walkthrough
Day 10: Live presentation with Jamal + Mary Ann (30 min Zoom)
Day 10-11: Payment processed via Wise

About the Day 4 check-in:
Mary Ann will message you on Day 4 asking how it's going.
Proactive operators will already have a status update ready.
Reactive builders will scramble or give vague answers.
How you respond is data for us.

???????????????????????????????????????????????????
PAYMENT TERMS
???????????????????????????????????????????????????

• $400 USD paid via Wise within 48 hours of your presentation
• Paid REGARDLESS of whether you're hired
• If you complete the deliverables, you get paid — period
• Work product (the workflows you build) belongs to BCC
• By accepting the build brief, you agree to these terms

???????????????????????????????????????????????????
ROUND 5: HIRING DECISION + IMMEDIATE START
???????????????????????????????????????????????????

After both finalist presentations, Jamal + Mary Ann compare side-by-side.
We make a decision within 48 hours and move fast on the offer.
Winner starts immediately at $800/month with the growth path described above.

Total timeline: 5-6 weeks from application to hire.
We move fast, but we won't compromise on fit.

???????????????????????????????????????????????????
HOW TO APPLY (READ CAREFULLY)
???????????????????????????????????????????????????

Send your complete application to: ----------

Your application must include ALL of the following:

1. COVER NOTE explaining specifically why YOU are the right fit
(Not generic. Tell us specifically about BCC and this role — show us you read
this post.)
2. PORTFOLIO or examples of past automation work
(Screenshots, Loom videos, GitHub, anything showing real builds you've done.
If you can't show real work, you're not the right hire for this level of role.)
3. FIRST LINE of your cover note must be the phrase:
I see what's broken
(Yes, exactly that phrase. This confirms you read this entire post carefully.
Applications that don't include this phrase will not be reviewed.)
4. YOUR CURRENT MONTHLY RATE and what you're looking for
(Be honest — we already told you we start at $800 with auto-raises to $1,200 by
Month 6. If that doesn't work for you, don't apply. We'd rather know now than
waste rounds.)
5. SOONEST YOU CAN START full-time

APPLICATIONS CLOSE:
We respond to every application within 5 business days after applications close.

FINAL NOTE
We respect your time. We move fast. We pay fairly based on demonstrated performance.
We expect excellence.

If you want to help us build the company that fixes people's credit AND funds their next chapter — and you're ready to prove yourself to earn your way up — apply.

If you're not sure you're the right fit — don't apply. We'd rather hire one great
person rather than waste time with many average ones.

Looking forward to hearing from the right person.
