JOB OVERVIEW

Location
Remote with regular collaboration on UK hours

Role overview:
You will plan, execute and review on-page SEO projects that lift organic visibility, engagement and conversions. A sharp focus on Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) will ensure our content earns citations inside AI answers across platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.
Our writers create the content – your tasks are keyword research, SEO brief creation, and the technical refinements (301s, 404s, schema, entity analysis, AI visibility tracking) that turn good copy into top-performing pages.

This is a full-time remote role for a UK organisation. Candidates outside the UK must keep at least a four-hour overlap with UK working hours, especially in the late afternoon or evening when teamwork is required.

Key responsibilities:
- Audit and optimise on-page elements across blogs, course pages and landing pages
- Conduct keyword research and produce clear, entity-rich SEO briefs for writers
- Implement and maintain structured data (FAQ, How-To, Product) and internal linking plans
- Resolve technical on-page issues, including 301 redirects, 404 errors and canonical conflicts
- Analyse entities and topical gaps to strengthen relevance and E-E-A-T signals
- Track AI citations, sentiment and coverage, recommending improvements for GEO
- Monitor rankings, traffic and leads, reporting weekly on performance and growth ideas
- Use n8n (or similar automation) to streamline data gathering and reporting

Essential skills and experience:
- Two or more years in on-page SEO for e-commerce or content-heavy sites
- Proven understanding of Generative Engine Optimisation and AI citation metrics
- Strong command of structured data (JSON-LD, ---------- )
- Confident use of Screaming Frog, GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs and Semrush
- Familiarity with WordPress or a similar CMS
- Ability to translate data into clear, prioritised actions
- Excellent written and spoken English

Desirable:
- Experience automating SEO workflows with n8n
- Familiarity with tools such as Claude, Openclaw or equivalent for competitive and content insight
- Working knowledge of international SEO and hreflang implementation
