JOB OVERVIEW

Note: This job starts as a gig and can continue as such, but if interested, it can become a full-time work.

About me:
I run a real estate brand on Spain's Costa del Sol that reviews new property developments - apartments, villas, off-plan projects - for international buyers.

I'm building a YouTube channel alongside a property website. Every development I cover needs a video, and that video lives in TWO places:

1. YouTube
2. Embedded on my website

I need an editor who can produce both cuts from the same source footage, consistently, and who eventually starts suggesting improvements instead of waiting for direction.

What you'll be editing:

For each development, I'll send you:
- 15–20 minutes of raw footage (drone, walkthroughs, exteriors, my on-camera segments)
- A structure to follow
- Reference images, floor plans, price tables for graphics

You'll deliver:
- YouTube cut optimized for retention. Thumbnail included (or willingness to learn).
- Website cut

Both cuts need: color correction, royalty-free music when it fits, on-screen graphics (prices, specs, floor plans, maps), and English subtitles. The videos will also need voice isolation/noise removing often (e.g road or car noise)

Turnaround: 48 hours (can be longer at the beginning while you learn what I'm expecting)

Style I'm aiming at:
Honest, calm, cinematic. The viewer should feel like they're being walked through by a knowledgeable human, not sold to.

What I'm paying:
$6/per hour of editing - can be increased based on skill. After a few edits we will see how long on average a video takes you. After a few successful videos I'd like to move to a monthly retainer with guaranteed volume, but I want to earn that relationship first, not promise it day one.

What I need from you:

- Preferably real experience editing REAL ESTATE (not an absolute must if you are editing something very similar)
- Fluent in (PREMIERE PRO / DAVINCI RESOLVE / FINAL CUT / OTHER POPULAR SOFTWARES - pick what you actually use)
- Visual taste (strong sense of pacing, you know when to hold a shot on a sea view vs when to cut)
- Reliable communication - I shouldn't have to chase you for status updates
- Initiative: after the first 5 videos, I want you proactively suggesting things like "this section dragged, here's a tighter version" or "we should add a graphic here"

How to apply:

1. Send links to 2–3 of your best video edits that you think could be useful for me to see your skills (longer form).
2. Tell me which software you use and how many years, and roughly how many videos you've edited in it.
3. At the top of your message, write the word "ESTEPONA". Applications without this word will be ignored.
4. Tell me your time zone and typical working hours.

Thanks. Looking forward to seeing your work.
