Video Editor for TikTok + Course Content

Dutch entrepreneur based in Nairobi, building a video content brand with educative videos for upcoming fathers, about parenting.

I'm looking for an experienced remote video editor to help create:
- Course videos (most important, comes later)
- Social media videos (less important, but comes earlier)
I record raw video and need a skilled editor to turn it into polished output across formats.

How we start:
This starts as per-video gig work. If we work well together, it becomes a part-time retainer with monthly pay.

Phase 1 (now): TikTok edits from raw recordings. 60–90 seconds 4 videos as a trial (40$ for test period in compensation, 10$ per video)
Phase 2 (later): Course modules and interview edits. 10–20 minutes. Color correction matters more here. Basic motion graphics, lower-thirds, clean audio.

What you need to have:
• A real portfolio with finished work you can point to
• Proven color correction skills (not just filters, actual colour correc
• Great and stable internet setup that handles 4K footage downloads and uploads at reasonable speedtion and grading)
• Experience in BOTH short-form social media video and longer productions (courses, documentaries, or interviews)
• Basic motion graphics and audio editing (denoising, leveling, music selection)

- One example where you show me both the raw source and the finished edit. This is the most important thing. If your portfolio only shows finished reels, link the raw footage in Google Drive. I want to see what you added to the raw, not just what the final looked like.

- Typical turnaround time for a 60-second TikTok from raw - in hours, be specific.
- Your per-video rate for: (a) a 60-second TikTok edit.

After the 4 videos, if it's working, we move to a part-time retainer of $400–500/month for ~20 hours/week.
