Short-Form Video Editor — Reels & TikTok (Beauty / Aesthetics Niche)

We're launching a new direct-to-consumer beauty / aesthetics service targeting European markets (France, Poland, Spain, Italy). Our growth engine is short-form video on Instagram Reels + TikTok — high-volume, fast-iteration content modeled on accounts that have proven the format in this niche.

We need a video editor who can produce 3–5 polished reels per week in our brand template. You'll work from raw footage + b-roll + brand assets that we provide. Your job is to assemble, pace, and finish the cut: text overlays, motion graphics, captions, sound design, color.

You'll edit ONE master reel per concept, then produce localized variants by swapping text layers and audio (we supply translations + AI-generated voiceovers via ElevenLabs / DeepL / Submagic). The editing template is built once, then re-skinned 4 times.

--- WHAT YOU'LL DO ---

EDITING
- 3–5 reels per week, 15–60 seconds each
- Cut to trending audio + hooks designed to retain viewers in the first 0.5 second
- Motion graphics: text reveals, side-by-side comparisons, zoom-in highlights, arrow callouts, ratio overlays
- Color grade and sound design to a consistent brand look
- Build Premiere templates so locale variants take under 20 minutes each

LOCALIZATION WORKFLOW
- Take 1 master edit and output 4 localized variants (French / Polish / Spanish / Italian)
- Swap text overlays from a translation sheet we supply
- Replace voiceover track with locale-appropriate AI audio we provide
- QC each variant for timing, kerning, and line-breaks per language (text length varies)

ASSET MANAGEMENT
- Organize project files in a clean folder structure (Google Drive)
- Maintain a "concept library" of reusable templates
- Tag and archive raw footage so we can repurpose later

FEEDBACK LOOP
- Light weekly analytics review: which hooks / edits get the most retention
- Iterate the template based on what's working

--- REQUIRED SKILLS (must-have — do not apply without these) ---
- 2+ years editing short-form social video (Reels / TikTok / Shorts)
- Strong CapCut AND Premiere Pro (or DaVinci Resolve / After Effects)
- Motion graphics: text animation, masks, keyframe tracking
- Comfortable working from a brand style guide (fonts, colors, beat timing)
- Fast turnaround: you can deliver a finished reel in under 4 hours from raw footage
- Functional written English — enough to read briefs and reply with questions. Doesn't have to be fluent; we use translation tools both ways.
- Portfolio of edits in the beauty / aesthetics / lifestyle / fashion niche specifically

- Experience editing beauty-education / aesthetic content
- Familiarity with trending TikTok audio sourcing
- AI tools workflow: ElevenLabs voiceover swaps, automatic captions (Submagic, Captions.ai)
- Speak any of French / Polish / Spanish / Italian (big bonus for QC'ing localized variants — NOT required)
- Some Photoshop / Illustrator for thumbnail and asset prep

--- COMPENSATION ---
$700/month for the first 30-day paid trial (3 master reels/week, deliver on time, hit our quality bar). Bumps to $900–1,100/month after a successful trial. Plus 13th-month and a performance bonus tied to retention metrics (average % watched on the reels you cut).

--- HOURS ---
Approx. 30–40h/week. Mostly async, but available at least 2 hours/day overlap with CET (so ~3 PM – 5 PM Manila time minimum).
