About The Human-Animal Connection
The Human-Animal Connection is a mission-driven organization focused on healing, resilience, and emotional connection through therapeutic interactions with animals. Our work supports trauma survivors, children, families, veterans, and vulnerable populations through animal-assisted programs, education, and community events.
We are looking for a highly organized, tech-savvy, mission-aligned Virtual Assistant to help support our growing programs, communications, and operations.

Position Overview
This role combines:
Administrative support
Marketing support
Technical support
Creative design assistance
Event and class support
The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, emotionally intelligent, detail-oriented, and genuinely excited about supporting a mission centered on healing and animals. Excellent English and immaculate communication is imperative.
This is a fast-moving environment that often involves shifting priorities and occasional quick turnarounds.

Core Responsibilities
Administrative & Operations Support
Organize files, documents, and digital materials
Assist with basic data entry and tracking
Support expense and accounting organization tasks
Help maintain organizational systems and workflows
Troubleshoot basic technical and operational issues

Marketing & Communications Support
Create social media graphics and promotional materials
Assist with social media scheduling and posting
Support execution of marketing strategies and campaigns
Design flyers, PowerPoints, event graphics, and digital materials
Help maintain brand consistency across platforms

Website & Tech Support
Update and maintain content on Wix website
Troubleshoot website and platform issues
Support online registration systems, forms, and integrations
Assist with digital organization and backend systems

Zoom & Online Program Support
Assist with Zoom setup and management
Manage breakout rooms and technical logistics during online classes/events
Provide live tech support during virtual sessions when needed

Advertising & Content Support
Assist with Meta/Facebook ad setup and management
Support audience targeting and promotional campaigns
Basic video editing skills are a strong plus

Ideal Qualifications
Required
Excellent spoken and written English
Strong organizational and communication skills
High level of comfort with technology and learning new systems
Graphic design experience (Canva or similar platforms)
Experience supporting social media marketing
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Reliable internet and strong responsiveness
Comfort working independently and problem-solving proactively

Strongly Preferred
Experience with Wix
Experience managing Zoo ---------- etings and breakout rooms
Experience with Meta/Facebook advertising
Basic video editing skills
Experience supporting nonprofits, coaches, educators, or mission-driven organizations
Personal alignment with animal welfare, healing work, or community-based missions
