Food Compliance Business Analyst

Job Summary:

L ---------- is looking for a Food Compliance Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between food industry operations and software development.

The candidate will work directly with food manufacturing clients to gather business requirements, understand operational workflows, document compliance processes, and translate client needs into clear technical requirements for the development team.

The ideal candidate should understand both food industry terminology and software/application workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
Meet with food manufacturing clients to gather and analyze business requirements
Understand client workflows related to QA, FSQA, SQF, USDA, FDA, HACCP, labeling, traceability, supplier management, CAPA, audits, and production documentation
Review existing client portals, spreadsheets, forms, and compliance processes
Convert business requirements into:
Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
User stories
Process flows
Wireframe concepts
Coordinate with software developers and explain client requirements clearly
Work with UI/UX and development teams during product development
Validate delivered functionality against client expectations
Assist in product testing, UAT, and implementation activities
Identify workflow improvement opportunities and automation possibilities
Participate in client meetings, demos, and requirement workshops
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in:
Food Science
Food Technology
Computer Science
Information Systems
Business Analysis
or related field
2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, QA, FSQA, regulatory compliance, or business analysis
Strong understanding of:
SQF
HACCP
FDA/USDA regulations
Food labeling
CAPA
GMP
Traceability
Supplier compliance
Ability to understand software systems and application workflows
Strong communication and documentation skills
Experience gathering and documenting requirements from clients
