Commercial Construction Estimator / Quantity Takeoff Specialist

We are building a small team of 3 construction estimators / takeoff specialists to work together on ongoing commercial construction projects.

This is not just solo freelance work. We are looking for people who can collaborate as a team, communicate well, help each other complete takeoffs, double check quantities, and keep projects moving efficiently.

Most projects will be mid size commercial jobs ranging from approximately 5,000 to 10,000 square feet, with occasional larger scopes.

Responsibilities include:
• Performing accurate quantity takeoffs from construction drawings
• Reading and interpreting civil, architectural, and structural plans
• Working together with the estimating team to complete projects on time
• Delivering organized Excel spreadsheets and takeoff summaries
• Including assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications with each estimate

Typical scopes include:
• Concrete
• Site work and paving
• Framing and structural elements
• Commercial construction takeoffs
Requirements:
• Proven experience with commercial construction takeoffs
• Ability to read plans without hand holding
• Experience with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar software
• Strong Excel skills
• Must provide sample takeoff work and marked up plans

Important:
We will start with a small paid test project. If successful, this can turn into ongoing consistent work.
