$1500/Month — Senior YouTube Shorts Writer (Full-Time, Long-Term)
We're hiring 1 senior English writer for a full-time, long-term role on our content team. We publish 30+ YouTube Shorts every day for English-speaking audiences and we're scaling fast. We don't want someone who is "learning" short-form. We want someone who has already done it, at volume, with results.
Pay: $1500 USD/month, full-time, via Upwork. First month is a fixed-price contract. Strong writers stay on monthly renewals at the same rate, with room to grow into more responsibility (lead writer, prompt design, training new hires).
What you'll be doing:
- Writing tight, high-retention scripts for YouTube Shorts every day
- Transforming raw transcriptions and ideas into final, publication-ready scripts
- Using our internal workflow (ChatGPT/Claude with our prompts) as a tool, not a crutch
- Choosing the strongest phrasing and locking the final script in our required format
- Holding a daily output target without sacrificing quality
What we require:
- Native or near-native English (C2). Strong native preferred.
- Demonstrable past experience writing short-form video content that actually performed (views, retention, virality)
- A clear understanding of hooks, pacing, payoff, and what kills retention in the first 2 seconds
- Previous writing for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, or similar platforms
- Strong editorial taste — you can tell instantly when a hook is weak
- The ability to make AI-assisted text sound human, sharp, and natural
- Proactive communication, ownership of your output, no babysitting required
- Stable internet AND stable electricity (no recurring outages)
- No other simultaneous clients during this role's working hours — this is full-time, period.
- Your own ChatGPT account
- Willing to screen-record for the paid test and occasional quality checks
What we give you: a clear playbook, real onboarding, consistent daily volume, 1 day off per week, and a stable seat on a team that ships.
VERY IMPORTANT — Apply EXACTLY like this or your application is auto-rejected:
1. Start your proposal with the words YOUTUBE SHORTS
2. Send 3 YouTube Shorts (or Instagram Reels / TikTok videos) that YOU personally wrote in the past. Real published video links only — no portfolios, no docs, no "samples I can write on request". If you didn't write the text for those videos, do not apply.
3. Confirm in writing that you have NO other simultaneous clients during this job's working hours, AND that you have no recurring issues with electricity or wifi.
4. Tell us your weekly availability in hours.
Any application missing 3 real video links you personally wrote, or missing the confirmation in point 3, will be rejected without reply.
Thanks,
Albert
