Technical writer- Vehicle / Engineering Compliance

Looking for a highly skilled technical writer with engineering background or knowledge. This is a project based role and is estimated to take up to 3 months.
The project is to summarise detailed Vehicle Standards (Australian Design Rules) into a simple to understand condensed version of the applicable standard.
Some standards can be written in engineering terminology and the successful applicate must be able to understand the importance of the statements and be able to summarise key points into plain English.
The ideal candidate would be an Engineering qualified person with exposure to the mechanical sector.
They must have an excellent understanding of written English and an excellent ability to write in English.
All short listed candidates will be required to undertake a sample of the work required.
