JOB OVERVIEW

I’m looking for a skilled YouTube video editor for an ongoing long-form YouTube channel in the finance, wealth-building and trading space.

The channel covers personal finance, wealth building, financial independence, investing, property, business lessons, money psychology, and occasionally trading / financial markets.

The editing style I want is clean, premium, intelligent and retention-focused.

I do NOT want childish editing, random effects, crypto-style hype, neon graphics, ---------- edits, loud transitions, or TikTok-style chaos.

Think more:
- premium personal finance YouTube editing
- clean talking-head pacing
- clear text overlays
- simple charts and numbers
- tasteful B-roll
- clean jump cuts
- subtle motion graphics
- strong retention without cheap gimmicks
- finance/business content that feels calm, credible and high-quality

Typical videos will be around 8–12 minutes.

I will provide:
- talking-head footage
- script
- rough direction
- example videos I like
- brand/style references

You should be able to:
1. Remove dead space and tighten pacing
2. Add clean text overlays
3. Add simple charts, numbers, and financial examples
4. Use tasteful B-roll where needed
5. Add subtle music and sound design
6. Make financial ideas easy to understand visually
7. Keep the video feeling premium, calm, credible, and intelligent
8. Understand when a section needs a visual, chart, text overlay or pacing change

YouTube awareness is very important.

I do not just want someone who cuts clips together. I want someone who understands what makes YouTube videos work: pacing, retention, curiosity, clarity, hooks, titles, thumbnails, and viewer attention.

Thumbnail design experience is a strong bonus, but not required. We may hire a separate thumbnail designer if needed.

If you are excellent at video editing but prefer not to do thumbnails, that is perfectly fine. Please just make that clear in your application. I will still fully consider you for the role.

However, if you can create thumbnails, improve thumbnail concepts, or explain what makes a thumbnail clickable, that is a big advantage.

Some videos may also be about trading and financial markets, so experience editing trading, investing, finance, business, education, or chart-based content is also a strong bonus.

The first step will be a paid 60–90 second test edit. If that goes well, I’m looking for someone long-term, ideally for weekly / bi-weekly videos.

For the right person, there is plenty of ongoing work available. I care more about quality, reliability, communication, and YouTube understanding than finding the cheapest editor.

To apply, please include:

1. The word “WEALTH” at the top of your reply
2. Your best 3 examples of long-form YouTube editing
3. Any finance, business, investing, trading, education, or talking-head videos you have edited
4. Whether you do thumbnail design or prefer editing only
5. Any YouTube thumbnails you have designed, if applicable
6. Your hourly rate
7. Your usual turnaround time for an 8–12 minute YouTube video
8. What software you edit with
9. A short sentence explaining what makes a YouTube video hold attention
10. A short sentence explaining what makes a thumbnail clickable
11. A short sentence explaining how you would make a finance/trading video feel premium and easy to understand

Please do not send a copy-paste application. I will only read applications that follow the instructions above.

If your work is good, this can become regular weekly work.
