JOB OVERVIEW

About the opportunity
We're a multi-entity business group based in Sydney launching a consumer goods brand in the household products space — think direct sales, community-driven distribution, and everyday essentials people actually love. We're looking for a sharp Product Manager / Market Researcher to lead the research and product strategy phase of this launch. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape what the brand becomes.

What you'll do
Map the competitive landscape — Australian and global housewares brands, pricing, distribution models, and white space opportunities

Define and validate a product range — category selection, consumer demand, sizing, and margin potential

Build consumer personas and identify target audience segments for a direct/social selling model

Produce a structured research report with go/no-go recommendations for product categories

Collaborate with sourcing and brand stakeholders to move validated products toward launch

What we're looking for
Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, or a housewares brand (Sistema, Décor, or similar a bonus)

Strong market research skills — primary and secondary, quantitative and qualitative

Comfortable working directly with a founder — no fluff, just clear thinking and actionable output

Understanding of direct sales or ambassador-based distribution models is a strong advantage

Ability to manage supplier research and manufacturer sourcing a bonus but not required

Why this role
You'll be the first hire on this project — which means genuine influence over what the brand becomes. We move fast, make decisions with data, and don't overthink things. If you want a role where your research actually drives real outcomes (not just slides), this is it. Opportunity to transition into an ongoing Product lead role as the business scales.
