JOB OVERVIEW

We are a fast-growing infrastructure and trade services company based in New Zealand, operating across plumbing, gas fitting, drainage, leak detection, hydro excavation and civil contracting.

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Virtual Marketing Manager to take full ownership of our marketing systems, lead generation and digital growth strategy.

This is a long-term full-time remote role for someone who understands performance marketing, lead generation, automation and brand growth within the trades, construction or service industry sectors.
You will work directly with the company director to scale inbound leads, optimise marketing performance and build a dominant online presence across multiple regions in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities will include:
• Managing and optimising all Google Ads campaigns across multiple service divisions and regions
• Full management of Google Local Service Ads (if applicable)
• Managing and optimising Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
• Building and managing lead funnels inside GoHighLevel (GHL)
• Managing automations, workflows, pipelines and lead tracking inside GHL
• Monitoring and improving cost per lead, conversion rates and ROI
• Managing and optimising Google Business Profiles across all locations
• SEO management and optimisation for all company websites and landing pages
• Keyword research and competitor analysis
• Building and improving high-converting landing pages
• Managing website updates, speed optimisation and conversion improvements
• Tracking and reporting all lead sources and campaign performance
• Setting up and managing call tracking systems
• Managing remarketing and retargeting campaigns
• Managing email marketing campaigns and automated follow-ups
• Managing SMS marketing campaigns and client reactivation campaigns
• Managing online reviews and reputation growth strategies
• Creating and scheduling social media content
• Managing Meta Business Suite and advertising accounts
• Managing YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and ---------- growth strategies
• Coordinating with admin and operations staff to ensure lead handling is efficient
• Identifying missed leads, improving response times and reducing lead loss
• Analysing customer data and improving marketing systems continuously
• Producing weekly performance reports with clear KPIs and recommendations
• Monitoring competitors and industry trends across New Zealand
• Assisting with branding, promotional campaigns and expansion launches into new regions
• Implementing systems to support aggressive company growth targets

Required Skills & Experience
Applicants must have:
• Strong experience managing Google Ads campaigns at scale
• Strong experience with Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
• Advanced experience using GoHighLevel (GHL)
• Experience generating inbound leads for service-based businesses
• Strong understanding of SEO and local search optimisation
• Experience building automations and workflows
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong analytical and reporting ability
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of results
• Stable internet connection and professional home office setup

Preferred Experience
Ideal candidates will also have experience with:
• Marketing for plumbing, drainage, civil or construction companies
• Managing multiple regional campaigns simultaneously
• Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking
• Website management (WordPress preferred)
• Graphic design and video editing
• CRM management and pipeline optimisation
• Reputation management and Google review strategies
• Running campaigns with monthly budgets exceeding NZD $15,000
• Understanding of lead attribution and call tracking systems

Performance will be measured on:
• Lead volume growth
• Cost per lead reduction
• Conversion rate improvements
• Increase in booked jobs
• ROI on ad spend
• Google ranking improvements
• Reduction in missed leads
• Growth of online presence and reviews
• Marketing system efficiency and reporting quality

Work Schedule
• Full time (40 hours per week)
• Must be available during New Zealand business hours
• Daily strategy/check-in call with the owner
• Weekly marketing performance review meetings
