Responsibilities

* Working at a fast pace and meeting deadlines
* Dedication to the your team and communicating at all times
* Designing and implementing new features and functionality
* Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
* Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
* Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
* Speaking and writing in both English & Tagalog 
* Study and keep up with new technologies
* Working with team members both in the US and Philippines
* You must own a computer to work on
* Work is done from home

Required Skills Qualifications

* Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
* Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
* Exceptional Understanding of Child Themes, Child Plugins, and plugins used to protect Core code
* Exceptional Understanding of Hooks & Functions
* Exceptional Understanding of Queries, and utilizing a function to inject custom queries
* Exceptional Understanding of using Custom Fields in Wordpress

Other Skills and Qualifications

* Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
* Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
* Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
* Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
* Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
* Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
* Proficient understanding version control using GitHub

* We work with ACF for custom fields, FacetWP for multi-faceted search, and start with themes that we create child themes from
* Bachelors Degree in CS, Web Development, or computer related field preferred, but not required
* Required Minimum of 3 years of professional Wordpress development or portfolio showing your ability to meet requirements

Not Required - But makes you an even better candidate!

* Experience modifying the backend interface of Wordpress to look completely different
* Coding skills in ASP.net, Python, JAVA, Objective-C, C++, C#
