Part-Time YouTube Community Manager (Wild West History Channel)

We run a growing YouTube channel focused on:

Wild West history
Cowboy life
Native American history
Frontier survival
Historical myths and forgotten stories

We’re looking for a reliable part-time tea ---------- mber who can help us engage with our audience in the comments section and strengthen our viewer community.

This role may eventually become full-time for the right person.

Primary Responsibility: YouTube Comment Engagement

Your main job will be reviewing viewer comments and writing thoughtful replies that sound natural and human.

We currently use AI prompts to help generate reply ideas.

However:

You must NEVER copy and paste AI-generated responses.

This is extremely important.

You must:

Rewrite responses completely
Make them sound natural
Match our channel voice
Avoid robotic replies
Keep conversations engaging
Help build stronger relationships with our viewers

We will also provide Grammarly to help polish responses when needed.

Future Growth Opportunity: Thumbnail Coordination

Comment engagement is our primary focus right now.

Once we get caught up and things are running smoothly, we may train you to help with thumbnail coordination.

This would involve:

Reviewing a list of older videos with low click-through rates
Following our process for ordering improved thumbnails
Helping us stay organized as we test better-performing thumbnails

We will fully train you on this process.

No design experience is required.

Work Schedule

This role requires consistency.

Work must be spread throughout the week and cannot be completed in just 1–2 days.

We can be flexible by approximately plus or minus one hour around these preferred windows for the right candidate.

Since most of our audience is based in the United States, we want comment engagement happening when our viewers are typically active.

Our preferred engagement windows are:

8:00 PM–10:00 PM Manila time
(7:00 AM–9:00 AM U.S. Central Time)

7:00 AM–9:00 AM Manila time
(6:00 PM–8:00 PM U.S. Central Time)

Optional bonus availability:

1:00 AM Manila time
(12:00 PM U.S. Central Time)


We are generally not looking for someone who plans to complete all comment work during very late U.S. overnight hours.

Ideal schedule:

Approximately 4 hours per day
20–25 hours per week

We strongly prefer candidates who can split their work across our preferred engagement windows.

However, we will also consider strong candidates who can consistently work one dedicated 4-hour shift per day.

Reliability and consistency matter more than perfect availability.

Pay

Starting pay:

$3.5/hour USD
