We are seeking a detail-oriented and disciplined Financial Support Specialist to provide essential accounting support across multiple portfolio companies. This role is critical for maintaining the financial health of several distinct business entities and requires a professional who can context-switch effectively while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
The ideal candidate is an expert in QuickBooks and thrives on managing diverse sets of books, ensuring that every entry is precise and every report is delivered on time for each individual entity.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Entity Bookkeeping: Manage daily financial transactions and general ledgers for multiple business units, ensuring clear separation of accounts.
Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations across all portfolio companies to ensure records match statement balances.
Payroll Processing: Coordinate and execute end-to-end payroll cycles for various teams, ensuring compliance with specific tax requirements for each entity.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets (B/S) for each company on a strict monthly schedule.
Process Compliance: Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and digital workflows tailored to the specific needs of each business.
Required Qualifications
QuickBooks Expertise: Proven experience managing accounts and generating reports within QuickBooks (Desktop or Online), preferably in a multi-company environment.
Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles (Debits/Credits, Accrual vs. Cash) and how they apply across different business models.
Deadline Driven: A proven ability to juggle multiple reporting calendars and consistently meet monthly deadlines.
Diligence & Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail; you are someone who ensures zero errors in entries despite managing high volumes of data.
Ability to Follow Direction: Comfortable working within established frameworks and executing specific instructions from ownership across the portfolio.
Skills & Competencies
High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic formulas).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks for different stakeholders independently.
High level of discretion when handling sensitive payroll and financial data for various entities.
Clear communication skills for providing financial updates to leadership.
