SharePoint & Power Platform Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and practical SharePoint & Microsoft Power Platform Specialist to support the phased implementation of structured data management and performance reporting platforms for agribusiness operations.

The project focuses on improving operational visibility, reporting discipline, records management, and management decision-making through the use of Microsoft technologies including SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Pages, and Dataverse.
Data collection within the broader platform environment is being carried out through a combination of Microsoft tools and external field data capture systems, including KoboToolbox, particularly for offline and mobile operational data collection.
This is an ongoing project targeting multiple clients within the agribusiness sector, with phased implementation approaches tailored to each client’s operational and technical environment.

The engagement is therefore expected to evolve over time, starting with structured data storage and dashboard integration, and potentially expanding into full Power Platform solutions.

Project Overview
The initial phases of the project include:
• Establishing structured SharePoint-based records management systems
• Designing practical and scalable data structures
• Integrating operational data into Excel & Power BI dashboards
• Supporting governance, document control, and workflow standardization
• Preparing the foundation for future Power Apps and Dataverse deployment
• Supporting integration of external data capture systems such as KoboToolbox into centralized reporting environments
Future phases may include:
• Mobile data capture applications
• Power Apps forms and workflows
• Power Pages web portals
• Dataverse implementation
• Advanced automation and reporting

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement SharePoint document libraries and lists
• Create structured metadata and logical folder/document architectures
• Develop practical records management systems for operational departments
• Support integration between SharePoint, KoboToolbox, Excel, and Power BI reporting environments
• Assist in defining scalable data structures and governance practices
• Build Power Apps forms and interfaces where required
• Advise on best practices for Microsoft 365 architecture and deployment
• Support phased migration from spreadsheet-based systems to structured platforms
• Assist with user access management and permissions structures
• Provide practical recommendations suitable for low-connectivity and operational environments

Required Skills & Experience
Essential
• Strong hands-on experience with:
o SharePoint Online
o Microsoft Lists
o Power BI integration
o Power Apps
o Microsoft 365 administration
• Experience designing structured data environments
• Good understanding of metadata, taxonomy, permissions, and governance
• Ability to work independently and advise on practical implementation approaches
• Strong communication skills in English
Preferred
• Experience with:
o Power Pages
o Dataverse
o Power Automate
o KoboToolbox or similar mobile/offline data collection platforms
o Agribusiness, manufacturing, or operational environments
o Project Approach
Projects are intentionally being implemented in phases:
1. Data structuring and governance

4. Expansion into Power Platform applications
The ideal candidate should therefore be comfortable working within a practical, phased implementation strategy rather than attempting to over-engineer solutions from the outset.
