JOB OVERVIEW

Overview

We’re hiring a Virtual Medical Assistant (VMA) to support our clinical and administrative workflows while delivering excellent patient experience. This role is patient-facing and requires exceptional English communication, strong follow-through, and a reliable, proactive work style.

This is a long-term role for someone who wants stability and career growth in a healthcare organization.

Work Schedule (Required)
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM California time (Pacific Time)
Remote role; must have reliable internet and a quiet, professional workspace

Key Qualifications

Very strong English communication (spoken and written): clear, professional, confident on calls and messages
Reliable and committed: punctual, consistent attendance, takes ownership, follows through without being chased
Customer service mindset: calm, empathetic, patient-first, able to handle sensitive situations professionally
Healthcare background: experience in a clinic, hospital, telehealth, medical office, or healthcare support role
Comfortable working with standard healthcare admin tasks and learning new systems quickly

Essential Responsibilities

Answer patient calls/messages professionally; provide accurate information within scope and escalate appropriately
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments; manage calendars and reminders
Perform patient follow-throughs (callbacks, status checks, reminders, documentation updates)
Support intake and basic administrative processing (collecting information, updating records, routing requests)
Coordinate with internal tea ---------- mbers to ensure tasks are completed end-to-end
Maintain clear documentation and timely updates so nothing falls through the cracks
Protect patient privacy and handle sensitive information with discretion

Compensation

Competitive, based on experience and location (to be discussed during the interview)
