JOB OVERVIEW

HIRING THIS WEEK - $20 Paid Trial - I respond to qualified applications within 24 hours
I'm replacing my current editor because of consistent missed deadlines and rushed work. I currently post 7 videos/day consistently across TikTok and Instagram. I'm hiring ONE editor for 12+ months minimum.
Read this entire post before applying. I'm filtering aggressively.
The role:

7 talking head short-form UGC videos per day, Monday to Saturday (45 videos/week)
~22 hours/week, ~$585/month
$3 USD per finished video (above ---------- market rate for this work). Paid weekly, every Friday, on time, every time.
All editing in CapCut and CapCut Space, no exceptions
Captions, trims, hook formatting per a detailed Editor Guide I'll require you to watch before your first edit
Daily scripts and raw footage delivered via a Notion calendar (already built and populated)
Delivery deadline: edited videos uploaded to our shared CapCut Space folder by 9 PM Manila time, daily
File format: MP4 export (1080x1920, H.264) + CapCut project file saved to shared folder

What I provide:

CapCut Pro subscription access
Music library access
Caption style templates
All raw footage and scripts
Notion workspace access
Existing Editor Guide and workflow documentation

Filming cadence: I film heavier on weekends (~15 videos Saturday, ~15 Sunday, ~15 spread across Monday to Friday). You'll need to handle the post-weekend volume cleanly without missing deadlines. If you can't reliably work weekends, do not apply.
Compensation details:

$3/video base rate
13th month bonus eligible after 6 months of consistent performance
1 round of revisions included per video if it doesn't match SOP. After that, you re-do it unpaid until it's right. Revisions due to my unclear direction are paid normally.

DO NOT APPLY if any of the following are true:

You don't have at least 6 months of dedicated short-form UGC editing experience (TikTok, Reels, Shorts). Wedding videographers, long-form YouTube editors, and corporate video editors are not the right fit.
You don't actively use CapCut Space. Premiere/DaVinci users, skip this post.
You don't have reliable backup power (generator/UPS) and dual internet (fiber + mobile backup). Brownouts and connection drops are your problem to solve, not mine.
You currently have more than 15 hours/week of other client commitments
You're using this as filler income while looking for a "real" job
You charge per hour and refuse per-video rates
You can't commit to a consistent 6-day schedule including weekends

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS. Miss any step and you're auto-rejected, no exceptions:

Subject line of your application must be exactly: COMMITTED CAPCUT EDITOR
First line of your message: a single sentence telling me what your weekly Monday to Saturday schedule looks like right now (current clients, hours each, days off).
Send 3 portfolio links in this specific order:

(1) The one you're most proud of
(2) The one that performed best (views/engagement)
(3) The one most similar to my content style (after reviewing my TikTok/IG handle which I'll provide in my reply)

All 3 must be short-form UGC content (TikTok, Reels, or Shorts), not long-form YouTube, weddings, corporate, or event work. Format each one like this:
Link: [URL]
Platform: [TikTok/Reels/Shorts]
My role: [what you specifically did]
Software: [must be CapCut]
View count: [if known]
Turnaround time: [how long it took you]
Answer these 8 questions in your application directly. 2 to 4 sentences per question, no fluff:

What's the most important thing about caption styling that bad editors get wrong?
Walk me through how you'd handle 15 raw videos delivered to you Sunday night with 7 needing to be posted by Monday afternoon.
If your internet or power goes out mid-day, what's your backup plan to still deliver on time?
Name one CapCut feature or short-form editing technique you learned in the last 60 days. Where'd you learn it?
If you think a script or creative direction in the SOP won't work well, but I tell you to do it anyway, what do you do?
What's your honest weakness as an editor? (Generic answers will be rejected. I want a specific weakness.)
Why are you considering leaving or reducing your current work?
Roughly how many short-form UGC videos have you edited in the past 12 months? Ballpark is fine.

Error-spotting test. Review this sample caption and tell me what's wrong with it:
"im so exited for this there changing everything"
(Your answer tests attention to detail. There are 3 errors.)
Confirm in writing: "$3/video, 6 days/week, weekend work required, CapCut Space only, 12+ month commitment."
Tell me one specific feature of CapCut Space you use regularly that most editors don't.
Write one sentence in Tagalog telling me why you want this role.

Paid Trial Process:

I'll respond to all applications meeting the requirements within 24 hours
Strong applicants move to paid trial: $20 total for watching my 1-hour Editor Guide + editing 2 videos
Trial includes recall questions on the guide (anyone who didn't watch is auto-out, no matter how good the edit looks)
The guide is detailed because this role requires consistency across 1,500+ videos per year
First 2 weeks are paid probation at full rate. Either party can terminate with 24 hours notice. After probation, 1-week notice required from either side.
Final hire within 2 weeks of posting

Bonus: If you refer another great editor after you're hired and they last 60 days, I'll pay you a $100 referral bonus.
I'm hiring once and I want to find the right person. Take the time to apply well.
