Caliber is a U.S.-based marketing and growth firm serving local service businesses, B2B companies, and professional services clients. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Social Media Manager to join our team on a part-time basis, with strong potential to grow into a larger role over time.
This is not just a scheduling role. We need someone who can manage content calendars, coordinate with our creative team, format and publish content across multiple platforms, monitor engagement, and track performance across multiple client accounts simultaneously.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN:
CONTENT CALENDAR & PLANNING
• Building and maintaining monthly content calendars per client submitted for approval.
• Mapping content to campaigns, launches, promotions, and client goals.
• Balancing content mix across educational, promotional, social proof, engagement, and behind-the-scenes posts.
• Planning content around holidays, industry events, and relevant
• Coordinating publish timing across platforms for reach and consistency.
PUBLISHING & SCHEDULING
• Scheduling and publishing posts across LinkedIn, Instagram,
• Ensuring correct image sizes, video specs, character limits, and formatting per platform.
• Quality checking every post before it goes live, including links, tags, formatting, captions, and spelling.
• Managing posting frequency per platform and per client.
• Story and reel scheduling.
• Pinned post management.
• Link-in-bio management using Linktree, Beacons, or similar tools.
PLATFORM MANAGEMENT
• Setting up and maintaining social profiles across platforms.
• Profile optimization, including bios, headers, profile photos, highlights, and links.
• Hashtag research and strategy per platform and per client.
• YouTube video descriptions and tags when applicable.
• Platform-specific formatting, including understanding what works differently on LinkedIn vs. Instagram vs. TikTok vs.
CAPTION POLISHING & POST SEQUENCING
• Polishing captions provided by the copywriter for each platform’s tone and format.
• Adapting long-form copy into platform-native short-form posts.
• Sequencing posts strategically across a monthly calendar.
• Ensuring CTAs are clear and consistent.
ENGAGEMENT & COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT
• Monitoring comments and DMs across client accounts when requested.
• Responding to comments and engaging with followers when approved.
• Flagging important messages, leads, or reputation issues immediately.
• Liking and engaging with relevant accounts and industry content when approved.
• Monitoring brand mentions.
REPORTING & ANALYTICS
• Weekly or monthly social media performance reports per client.
• Tracking follower growth, reach, impressions, engagement rate, and clicks.
• Identifying top-performing posts and content types.
• Recommending content adjustments based on performance data.
• Using platform-native analytics and third-party reporting tools.
STRATEGY SUPPORT
• Identifying trending topics, sounds, and formats relevant to each client.
• Monitoring competitor social media accounts, including what they are posting and what appears to be performing.
• Recommending new content angles based on what is working.
• Suggesting platform expansions when appropriate.
• Testing posting times and content formats.
TEAM COORDINATION
• Working from creative briefs and captions provided by the copywriter.
• Requesting graphics from the designer with clear specs, sizes, and deadlines.
• Requesting video edits from the video editor with platform-specific specs.
• Coordinating asset delivery to ensure nothing is late to publish.
• Communicating the publishing schedule clearly to the team.
• Tracking all published posts in a shared log.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Hands-on experience managing social media accounts across multiple platforms.
• Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of platform-specific formatting, specs, and best practices.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable with social media scheduling tools such as Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, Metricool, or Publer.
• Comfortable with Canva for minor graphic edits when needed.
• Familiar with platform-native analytics and basic reporting.
• Responsive, reliable, and proactive.
• Strong written English for caption polishing, responses, and internal communication.
TOOLS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
• Scheduling tools such as Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, Metricool, or Publer.
• Canva for quick edits.
• Native platform analytics.
• Google Analytics.
• Linktree or Beacons.
• ClickUp, Asana, Notion, Trello, or similar project management tools.
• Google Sheets or spreadsheets for calendar and post tracking.
NICE TO HAVE:
• Experience working inside a marketing agency.
• Experience managing social media for local service businesses, professional services, B2B companies, real estate, legal, healthcare, or home services.
• Experience with TikTok and YouTube specifically.
• Familiarity with paid social media ads, especially Meta and LinkedIn.
• Basic video editing in CapCut or similar for quick social edits.
ROLE BOUNDARIES:
• Long-form copywriting will usually come from the copywriter.
• Graphic design beyond basic Canva edits will usually be handled by the designer.
• Video editing will usually be handled by the video editor.
• Paid social media ad management will usually be handled separately.
• Client-facing strategy calls will usually go through Caliber leadership.

• Content calendar updates and scheduling.
• Publishing and QA across client platforms.
• Engagement monitoring and community responses.
• Asset coordination with the designer and video editor.
• Performance reporting and analytics review.

• Caption polishing and post sequencing.
