JOB OVERVIEW

What is MZMO?
MZMO is an executive search firm. We help fast-growing companies find senior leaders and key hires. We are now targeting venture capital (VC) firms — the investors behind startups. Many of these firms do not have their own recruiting or talent team. Your job is to find them, research them, reach out, and get a meeting booked.

What You Will Do Every Week
1. Research prospects
Find VC firms that do NOT have an internal talent or recruiting person on their team. Use LinkedIn, Google, and Crunchbase to research each firm and learn about the partners and what companies they invest in. Also look through the founder's LinkedIn connections to find people we already know at these firms.

2. Write and send outreach messages
Write personalized LinkedIn messages or emails to each prospect. Every message must be specific to that person — no copy-paste templates. Follow up 3–4 times if there is no reply. Staying persistent is a big part of this job.

3. Book discovery calls
When someone responds with interest, get a call on the calendar. Handle all scheduling and send a confirmation. Before each call, prepare a short summary of who Mia is meeting and what to know about them.

4. Keep the tracker updated
Log every prospect you research and every message you send. Update the status as things move (researched ? messaged ? replied ? call booked). Send Mia a short update every Friday.

What Success Looks Like
First 30 days: 30–50 VC firms profiled, 20–30 personalized messages sent per week, tracker clean and up to date.
By month 2: booking 4–6 discovery calls per month for Mia.

Strong written English
Self-starter — you do not need to be told what to do each day
Organized and consistent — you follow up on time, every time
Comfortable doing deep research online
Reliable and takes pride in your work


How We Work Together
Flexible remote role — you manage your own time within the 20 hours
Be available for quick check-ins during 10am–2:30pm New York time
Weekly 30-minute video call to review progress and plan ahead
When a hot lead responds, message Mia right away — don't wait for the weekly update
Tools: Slack, Google Sheets, LinkedIn
