Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Medical Administrative Biller to support US-based healthcare practices. In this role, you will assist with the day-to-day billing and administrative operations of the assigned medical practice. This is a long-term, stable remote position for candidates with a strong background in medical billing and a solid understanding of US health insurance systems.
Key Responsibilities
Submit and follow up on medical claims to insurance companies (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers)
Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts
Work on denials and appeals, identifying and resolving billing errors
Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments
Assist with prior authorization submissions and tracking
Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient billing records
Communicate with the US-based practice team regarding billing issues, claim statuses, and patient account inquiries
Prepare basic billing reports and documentation as requested
Support general administrative back-office tasks as needed
Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in US medical billing or a related healthcare administrative role
Familiarity with US insurance payers, CPT/ICD-10 coding basics, and EOB/ERA interpretation
Experience with medical billing software (e.g., Nextech, ModMed or similar)
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional work environment
Ability to work during US business hours (see below)
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
Hours of Operation
This position operates on US business hours. Depending on the assigned practice's time zone, standard working hours will fall within the following windows listed. The table below shows what those hours look like in Philippine Standard Time (PST).
Please be prepared to work overnight hours. Applicants who are comfortable with a night shift schedule are encouraged to apply.
Eastern Time (ET): 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM US / 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM PH
Central Time (CT): 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM US / 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM PH
Mountain Time (MT): 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM US / 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM PH
Pacific Time (PT): 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM US / 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM PH
Exact shift times will be confirmed upon placement with the assigned medical practice. Full-time positions are approximately 40 hours per week; part-time options may also be available.
Compensation & Work Arrangement
Rate: $5.00 USD per hour
Hours are tracked via a digital timekeeping system
Timesheets are submitted weekly for client approval
Payment is processed via ACH on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
This is a fully remote position- work from home
Employee responsible for currency exchange rate fee.
Technical / Equipment Requirements
Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps recommended)
A quiet, professional home work environment
Desktop or laptop computer (Windows 10/11 or Mac OS - no Chromebooks)
Minimum 8GB RAM and a modern processor capable of running billing software
At least one monitor (dual monitor setup preferred for multitasking)
Webcam for virtual tea
Headset/ headphones or built-in microphone for clear audio communication
Comfortable using digital timekeeping systems
Backup power source or UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) recommended in case of outages
