About HypeTribe Asia
HypeTribe is a venture studio building and scaling D2C brands across health, wellness, and digital marketing.
We're AI-native, lean, and ship daily. We hire performance marketers, creatives, and operators across multiple time zones — and we need an HR partner who will work under one of the portfolio companies of Hypetribe and actually understands the talent we're recruiting.
Why this role is different
Most HR people don't know what a "media buyer" actually does, or how to spot a real prompt engineer vs. someone who just listed "AI" on their résumé. That's exactly why we're specifically looking for someone who has worked inside a performance marketing agency, growth agency, or D2C marketing team before. You've seen these roles up close. You know what a great media buyer looks like in an interview, how to vet a copywriter's portfolio.
If you've never sat next to a media buyer or watched a creative team brief out ad concepts, this role is not for you.
What you'll own
1. End-to-end recruitment for media buyers, copywriters, prompt engineers, creative strategists, video editors, ops roles, etc across multiple brands
2. Sourcing (OnlineJobs, LinkedIn, Upwork, referrals), screening calls, scorecards, interview coordination, reference checks
3. Negotiating and closing offers — comp, scope, start dates
4. HR admin: contracts, onboarding, time tracking, payroll coordination, performance check-ins, offboarding
5. General admin tasks supporting founders and managers — calendar coordination, document management, internal communications, ad-hoc operational support
6. Building and maintaining hiring SOPs, candidate pipelines, and ATS workflows (we systematize everything)
7. Compliance and documentation across multiple jurisdictions
8. Using AI daily to accelerate sourcing, screening, drafting JDs, summarizing interviews, and admin
You're a strong fit if you have
1. You have worked on a performance marketing agency, growth agency, or D2C marketing team — in HR, talent, ops, recruiting, or account management
2. Direct experience hiring or recruiting media buyers, copywriters, or creative talent
3. Strong negotiation skills — you can close candidates and push back on unreasonable asks
4. Deep comfort with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) — you use them every day, not just when it's convenient
5. Highly organized and proactive — you can run 10+ open roles across 4 brands without dropping a ball
6. Excellent written and spoken English
7. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift weekly and you wear multiple hats
Bonus points
1. Experience hiring across international markets (US, EU, PH, LATAM)
2. Background in health & wellness, telehealth, or supplements
3. Experience writing or refining job descriptions that actually attract A-players
