JOB OVERVIEW

Looking for a content VA who can edit short-form video clips, launch and manage a YouTube channel from scratch, and handle LinkedIn and Substack publishing for a keynote speaker and executive coach. Must know Descript or CapCut, YouTube SEO, and Buffer or Later. Personal brand experience preferred.

-Content Operations VA — Leadership Current™
Part-Time | Remote | ~10 hours/week to start

About This Role
Leadership Current™ is the coaching, advisory, and speaking practice of Tracey Abbott — executive coach to PE-backed CEOs, keynote speaker (South Summit Brazil, TEDx KC, MIT Kuo Sharper Center), and strategic advisor to founders and C-suite leaders navigating high-stakes transitions.

Tracey has a growing library of high-quality podcast interviews, keynote footage, and long-form video content. She knows exactly which clips she wants. What she needs is a skilled content operations VA to take those selections and get them production-ready, scheduled, and distributed across platforms — with zero hand-holding on the technical side.
This role is part video editor, part platform manager, part channel builder. If you love creating clean, punchy short-form content from long-form source material and know your way around YouTube and Substack from scratch, this is for you.

What You'll Be Doing
Video Editing and Clip Preparation
Receive pre-selected clips from Opus Clip (Tracey will flag which ones she wants and any trim instructions). Execute trims and cuts in Descript or CapCut based on simple written direction. Add or clean up auto-captions, ensure proper aspect ratio for each platform (LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, YouTube long-form). Export finished clips ready for upload.

YouTube Channel — Launch and Ongoing Management
Set up Tracey's YouTube channel from scratch (channel art, description, about section, links). Optimize each upload for search: titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails. Organize content into playlists by topic (PE leadership, founder coaching, risk-making, origin stories). Upload and schedule videos on an agreed cadence. Basic monthly analytics reporting.

LinkedIn Video Posting
Upload pre-approved clips to LinkedIn on schedule. Format captions provided by Tracey. Maintain a simple content calendar so nothing falls through the cracks.

Substack — Setup
Create and configure Tracey's Substack from scratch (branding, sections, welcome email). Set up the publication structure so it's ready for Tracey to write into. Assist with uploading and scheduling posts as needed going forward.

Scheduling and Workflow
Maintain a simple shared content tracker (Notion, Airtable, or Google Sheets). Batch uploads weekly so content goes out consistently without Tracey having to manage daily. Flag anything that needs Tracey's attention — don't guess, just ask.

What You Must Have
Descript and/or CapCut — you know how to trim and export clean clips fast. YouTube channel setup experience — you have launched at least one YouTube channel, set it up for SEO, and managed ongoing uploads. Opus Clip familiarity is a plus. Buffer, Later, or equivalent — you can schedule social posts without being walked through it. Substack — you understand the platform and can configure a publication from scratch. Strong written English. Reliability — you hit deadlines, you communicate proactively, you don't go quiet.

What Would Make You Stand Out
Experience supporting a personal brand (coach, speaker, author, executive) vs. a product or agency brand. Familiarity with LinkedIn video best practices. Ability to create simple, clean YouTube thumbnails in Canva. Understanding of PE, executive leadership, or B2B professional content is a genuine plus but not required.

The Content You'll Be Working With
This is not generic motivational content. Tracey's audience is PE-backed CEOs, C-suite executives, and founders. The content is sharp, earned, and operator-credible. Tracey will tell you what she wants. Your job is to execute it cleanly and get it out.
Source material includes long-form podcast interviews (30-60 minutes), keynote footage (South Summit Brazil, TEDx, MIT), and short-form content already cut by Opus.

Hours and Compensation
Starting at approximately 10 hours per week with potential to grow as YouTube and Substack scale. Please share your hourly rate when applying.

How to Apply
Send a short note that answers these three questions:

What tools do you use for short-form video editing and why?
Have you launched a YouTube channel from scratch? If yes, share an example.
What does a typical week look like for you managing a personal brand client's content?

Include any relevant portfolio links or examples of channels or publications you've helped build.
Leadership Current™ is a boutique practice. You'll work directly with Tracey. If you communicate well, execute cleanly, and take ownership, there is a lot of room to grow here.
