Founding Online ESL Teacher for Young Learners Ages 6–7

We are building a quality-first online English foundation program for young Chinese learners aged 6–7 who are complete beginners or near-beginners in English.

This is not a random teacher-booking platform, and not a typical ESL class.

We are looking for a very small number of truly suitable founding teachers who can help us build the first classroom standard.

Class model:
- Online small-group teaching
- 1 teacher + 4 children
- Fixed teacher
- Fixed students
- Fixed time slot
- Around 25 minutes per class
- Main teaching hours: 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM Philippine time
- One full learning cycle: around 48 weeks

Who we are looking for:

You may be:
- an ESL teacher with young learner experience
- a kindergarten or preschool teacher
- an early childhood education teacher
- a preschool / kindergarten English teacher
- a bilingual or international school young learner teacher

We care less about your title and more about whether you are truly suitable for teaching 6–7-year-old complete beginners in an online 1v4 small-group class.

Required qualities:

We are looking for someone who:
- has experience teaching children aged 5–8 or early primary learners
- genuinely enjoys teaching young children
- understands young learners’ emotions, attention span, and classroom behavior
- can gently but effectively manage shy, silent, distracted, overexcited, or restless children
- can use TPR, gestures, pictures, repetition, routines, and scaffolding to help children understand and participate
- has strong on-camera presence and a warm, child-friendly personality
- has clear, natural, and stable English pronunciation
- is willing to follow lesson SOPs, receive training, and join post-class reviews
- has long-term cooperation potential

Bonus points:
- online young learner teaching experience
- 1v4 or small-group teaching experience
- experience with ClassIn or similar online teaching platforms
- Cambridge Power Up / YLE / Cambridge curriculum experience
- kindergarten / preschool / early childhood education background
- real young learner teaching video samples

Cooperation:

The early stage may start with part-time / trial cooperation.

If both sides are a strong fit, we hope this can grow into stable long-term monthly cooperation.

Because the learning cycle is around 48 weeks, we strongly prefer teachers who are willing to stay with the children for at least one full learning cycle.

For a highly suitable founding teacher, we are willing to offer:
- PHP 40,000–50,000 per month, depending on workload, responsibilities, availability, and fit
- stable long-term cooperation opportunity
- lesson SOP and training support
- opportunity to grow with the founding team
- possible future path toward Lead Teacher / Teacher Trainer / Teaching Quality Support

2. A 3–5 minute self-introduction video — required

In your self-introduction video, please include:
- your name and teaching background
- your experience with young learners, especially ages 5–8
- your online teaching experience, if any
- why you think you may be suitable for 6–7-year-old beginner learners
- one example of how you handled a young child who was silent, distracted, emotional, overexcited, or unwilling to participate

Applications without a self-introduction video will not be prioritized.

3. Previous teaching video — strongly preferred

This is especially helpful if:
- the students are aged 5–8
- it is an online class
- it is a group class
- it shows your real teaching style, energy, voice, TPR, and classroom interaction

4. Available teaching hours

Please clearly state your availability, especially between 4:30 PM and 9:00 PM Philippine time.

5. Equipment and teaching environment

Please briefly share your:
- device
- headset / microphone
- camera
- internet connection
- teaching space

Selection process:
1. Application screening
2. Self-introduction video review
3. Video interview
4. Short paid teaching audition
5. Part-time / trial cooperation
6. Long-term cooperation if both sides are a strong fit

We are not mass hiring.

We are not looking for the most teachers.

We are looking for the right teachers.
