I’m looking for multiple freelancers to join my team and create screen-recorded how-to tutorials for YouTube.
IMPORTANT:
- This is NOT a video editing job
- You MUST record your own voice while explaining the tutorial
- AI voiceovers are NOT accepted
- Please do NOT apply with editing portfolios or cinematic edits
To apply, you must send a short screen-recorded tutorial sample with your own real voice explaining something step by step. If you are new to this, you can create something simple, such as a tutorial on how to add a shadow to an element in Canva.
The sample is mainly used to evaluate:
- Your English level
- How clearly you explain things
- Your microphone/audio quality
- Whether you feel natural teaching on screen
About the role:
You will create short tutorials on online tools and software such as Canva, Shopify, Mailchimp, Airtable, Asana, Klaviyo, and many others.
You will usually be assigned one software at a time and work through a list of tutorial topics before moving on to another platform.
Examples of tutorial topics freelancers have already worked on (similar topics you could be given for different software):
- How to Edit Footer in Mailchimp
- How to Move Groups in
- How to Collect
What the work involves:
- Screen-recording short tutorials
- Explaining step-by-step while navigating the software
- Basic editing only (cutting mistakes, trimming pauses)
- Creating a simple thumbnail using an easy Canva template I provide
Video length:
- Usually 1-4 minutes (rarely longer)
- Most tutorials average around 2 minutes
Pay:
- $1 per approved video
- No cap on output
- Long-term ongoing work available
- Produce as many videos as you want
Once familiar with the workflow, most freelancers realistically average around $5-$15/hour depending on speed, tutorial complexity, and experience.
Requirements:
- Good English
- Clear speaking voice
- Decent microphone/audio quality
- Reliable communication
- Ability to explain things clearly and naturally
When applying:
- Send your tutorial sample
- Include your estimated weekly output
- Mention any software/tools you already know well
TIP: If you don't have the best microphone, or your surroundings are a little noisy, I highly recommend using real time noise cancellation tools like NVIDIA Broadcast (if you have a NVIDIA GPU), Steelseries GG, or Krisp.
For the sample you attach, please make sure that the link is public so that I am able to watch it! :)
Applications without a spoken tutorial sample will be ignored.
