We’re hiring a skilled short-form video editor to help build a growing media company. This is a serious opportunity with a clear path to consistent work and full-time for the right person.

We are not looking for beginner editors or template-based editing.

We want editors who understand:

Attention
Retention
Storytelling

Social-first editing

What You’ll Edit
Business / personal brand reels
Sports content (Atlanta Smoke softball team)
Game recaps & highlights
Mic’d up content
Behind-the-scenes videos
Training / fitness content

You’ll receive:

Raw footage
Creative direction
References
Systems/workflows

Your job is to execute at a high level.

Requirements
Proven experience editing high-level short-form content
Strong understanding of pacing, retention, and storytelling
Advanced captioning (NOT basic auto-captions)
Strong sound design instincts
Ability to adapt to different editing styles quickly
Fast turnaround without sacrificing quality
Reliable communication and consistency
Required Software
Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe After Effects
Final Cut

No CapCut editors.
No template-heavy editing.
No “basic TikTok edits.”

Not a Fit If You:
Only do simple cuts with music
Rely heavily on presets/templates
Use generic social media editing styles
Need constant supervision
Miss deadlines
Don’t understand retention editing

Interview Process

Step 2 — Shortlist

Selected editors move to the next round.

Step 3 — Paid Test Edit

Selected applicants will receive:

Raw clips
Creative direction
Reference examples

You’ll edit:

1 short-form video (30–60 seconds)

We evaluate:

Hook (first 1–3 seconds)
Retention/pacing
Sound design
Captions
Creativity
Storytelling
Overall execution
Growth Opportunity
