About the Role

PMG Financial Clarity is a small but growing Australian bookkeeping, accounting and advisory firm. We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper with strong Xero, QuickBooks and supplier reconciliation skills.

This is a technical bookkeeping role, not a general VA role.

Main Tasks
- Process transactions in Xero and QuickBooks Online
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Enter supplier bills and allocate payments
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Identify missing bills, duplicates, credits and payment issues
- Review aged payables
- Prepare bookkeeping queries for review
- Update task notes in AccountKit
- Save supporting documents in Google Drive
- Use AI tools to help draft queries and summarise issues

Main Software
- Xero
- QuickBooks Online
- AccountKit
- Google Drive / Google Workspace
- AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini or similar
- Hubdoc or Dext, if applicable

Required Skills
- Australian bookkeeping experience
- Strong Xero experience
- QuickBooks Online experience
- Supplier reconciliation experience
- Accounts payable experience
- Bank reconciliation experience
- Practical Australian GST knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written English

Able to work Australian business hours

Highly Regarded
- AccountKit experience
- Hubdoc or Dext experience
- BAS preparation support
- Payroll/STP support
- Australian construction or trades bookkeeping experience
- Experience using AI tools

Practical Test

Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a short test covering Xero coding, supplier reconciliation, GST coding and bookkeeping queries
