JOB OVERVIEW

We are launching a faceless YouTube documentary channel focused on business empires, money, power, scandals, luxury brands, frauds, hidden economics, psychology, and historical stories.

We need a long-form YouTube video editor who can create cinematic, engaging documentary-style videos from scripts and voiceovers.

This is not a short-form reels job. We need someone who can make business and history topics visually interesting using strong pacing, stock footage, archival visuals, screenshots, charts, maps, motion graphics, text highlights, music, and sound design.

The style should feel closer to premium YouTube documentaries and business explainers, not cheap YouTube automation.
Reference style:
-MagnatesMedia
-ColdFusion
-James Jani
-Business Casual
-Jake Tran
-Moon
-Patrick Cc
-Vox-style explainers

Responsibilities:
-Edit 15–30 minute documentary-style YouTube videos
-Work from a script and voiceover
-Source or suggest relevant visuals
-Use stock footage, archival images, screenshots, charts, maps, headlines, and simple motion graphics
-Add music, sound design, transitions, and visual pacing
-Make complex business topics feel engaging and easy to follow
-Create strong opening sequences that hold attention
-Help improve retention through pacing and visual storytelling
-Work with our team through revisions

You should have:
-Experience editing long-form YouTube videos
-Strong documentary/storytelling sense
-Ability to make business, finance, and history topics visually engaging
-Good taste, not over-edited or chaotic
-Understanding of YouTube pacing and retention
-Ability to work with brand references
-Good communication and reliable turnaround times

Nice to have:
-Motion graphics experience
-Experience with maps, charts, timelines, and business explainers
-Access to stock footage libraries
-Experience editing faceless YouTube channels
-Basic thumbnail design ability

To apply, please send:
-3 relevant long-form YouTube editing samples
-Your rate for a 15–30 minute video
-Your estimated turnaround time
-Which editing software you use
-Whether you can source visuals yourself
-A short note explaining how you would visually edit this video:
“How Rolex became the ultimate status symbol”

Paid test task:
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a paid editing test using:
-a short script excerpt
-voiceover
-reference style
-rough visual direction
-The test will likely be a 60–90 second edited sample.

We are looking for someone long-term if the first projects go well.

Budget is flexible depending on quality, experience, and video complexity. Paid editing test available at $100–$250.
