West Orange Nephrology is a physician-owned kidney care clinic located in Winter Garden, Florida. We provide comprehensive nephrology services and are a growing practice with an experienced team of providers. We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our remote team, lead our finance function, and help us build strong financial systems as we scale. This is a leadership role and a degree in finance, business, or accounting is required.
About the role
We need a Finance Manager who can do more than manage numbers — we need someone who can lead a team, think strategically, and give the physician-owner clear visibility into the financial health of the practice. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, managing and mentoring finance staff, and ensuring our books, reports, and processes are accurate, organized, and compliant. If you have a finance, business, or accounting degree and have led or supervised others in a financial role, we want to talk to you.
What you'll be doing
You will oversee all financial operations for the practice including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management. You will lead and manage a remote finance team, assign responsibilities, review their work, and develop their skills over time. You will prepare and present regular financial reports and performance summaries to the physician-owner, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. You will manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, oversee payroll coordination, and ensure all financial processes are accurate and up to date. You will build and improve financial systems, workflows, and controls to support the practice as it grows. You will liaise with the external accountant or CPA and ensure the practice is prepared for audits, tax filings, and year-end close. You will also identify cost-saving opportunities and support business development decisions with sound financial analysis.
Who we're looking for
We need someone with a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or accounting — this is a firm requirement. You must have at least three to five years of experience in a finance or accounting role and prior experience managing or supervising a team. Experience working with or inside a US-based medical practice or healthcare business is strongly preferred. You should be highly proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and comfortable working with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms. Strong analytical thinking, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to a non-finance audience are all essential. You must be highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Important
A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or accounting is required — candidates without a qualifying degree will not be considered. US finance or accounting experience is required. Management or supervisory experience is required. Candidates without this background will not be considered.
How to apply
Send a short introduction about yourself, your finance or accounting background, and your management experience. Please include your degree and field of study. Please answer this question: "Have you ever managed or led a finance or accounting team? Describe what your team looked like, what you were responsible for, and one improvement you made to the financial operations you oversaw." Applications that skip this question will not be reviewed.
