Video Editor - Real Estate Media

Background:
Vivid Spaces is a Real Estate Media company based in the United States, focusing on helping Realtors market and sell homes, and brand themselves through social media videos.
We also provide photos, floor plans, and other marketing needs to agents, however, this position will be primarily focused on the video editing side of things.


Job Description:
This position is for an experienced video editor who understands color grading, captioning, music timing, and video structure to create an engaging video to grab attention quickly.
This individual will be required to work independently on videos of different styles, based on our services offered. Generally we produce videos that are 30 - 90 seconds long, using editing styles that are trending.
Training will be provided on systems but not on "how to edit videos". Color grading, timing, music choice, transitions, captioning should all be skills you know how to use.

As a growing company, this person will also help create improved processes for our video services. This includes - helping build shot lists for the photographer/videographer, systems to communicate video needs to you (the editor), and other things to make the flow of information between local people and remote editor (this position) as smooth as possible.

Currently this editor would have to handle on average 5 - 12 short form real estate videos per week. This would be their number one priority with other smaller tasks as time allows.

Ideally, the potential candidate will be a better editor than me upon starting.

I work in Final Cut Pro but the editor can work in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.


Soft Skills Necessary:
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve without needing direction (because of the time difference).

Required Technical Skills:
- Video Editing
- Captioning
- Hook Structure
- Color Grading

Desired Skills:
- Process Improvement and SOP Building for our video editing processes.

Detailed Responsibilities:
- Create short form video within 2 business days (ideally one) of project being submitted to you.
- Update process to help future editors get into workflow faster.

Hours Expected to Work:
- This position allows you to work as time allows as long as videos get edited within the expected delivery time frame.
- Expected to work Monday - Friday. Exact times can be discussed for correct candidate to work with their schedule.
- Required to have a weekly meeting with me (owner of business) to discuss process improvements and general working conditions to make sure things are going well.
- Ideally, this person would overlap an hour or two every day for needed communication between us as needed.


Salary:
- $1,100 per month (USD).
- 13th month pay included for full time candidates.

Training Provided:
- You're required to know the video editing side of things when hired. However, training on processes, procedures in the company, and other skills as needed will be provided.


Career Potential:
- This position is new to the business but if we continue to grow, the opportunity would be that the individual would manage other video editors in the future.
