Website Design Strategist + Content Editor — Experienced Applicants Only
Project-Based Role | Remote | Fixed Fee | Immediate Start
We recently launched a new website for our luxury vacation rental and property management company, and the result missed the strategic mark.
We are looking for an experienced website design strategist, content editor, and brand messaging professional to help us reshape the site into something more polished, intelligent, conversion-focused, and aligned with the business we are actually building.
This is not a beginner project. This is not a proofreading assignment. This is not a job for someone whose main value is grammar cleanup or pleasant-sounding copy.
We need someone who understands how a website should function as a strategic business asset — visually, structurally, verbally, and commercially.
Our company serves two important audiences:
High-end vacation rental guests looking for a trusted place to stay
Homeowners and real estate investors evaluating whether to trust us with a valuable property
The current site does not yet speak to either audience at the level required.
Important Context
We are not looking for someone to perform a vague website review and tell us obvious things we already know.
We already know the newly launched site has issues, including inconsistent branding, unfinished content, weak page flow, placeholder language, unclear audience separation, and missed strategic positioning.
What we need is someone who can take the existing business direction and help turn it into a stronger website.
The right person will help us clarify the structure, sharpen the message, rewrite weak sections, improve calls to action, strengthen the user journey, and give our web designer/developer clear notes to implement.
This is a practical, execution-focused project. We want someone who can move the site forward quickly.
Our Brand Direction
We are not trying to be the biggest vacation rental company.
We are building a boutique, intelligent, high-service property management and hospitality brand focused on:
Property performance
Asset protection
Owner trust
Guest experience
Operational excellence
Direct bookings
Revenue strategy
Long-term property value
High-touch service for both homeowners and guests
The website needs to reflect that. Right now, it does not.
What We Need Help With
The work may include:
Homepage strategy and content flow
Separation between guest booking and homeowner/property management audiences
Property management page structure and messaging
Guest booking journey review
Owner/investor lead conversion strategy
Brand voice refinement
Content editing and rewriting
CTA improvement
Navigation and page-flow recommendations
Trust signal recommendations
SEO-minded content structure
Notes for our designer/developer to implement
Identification of content sections that should be added, removed, rewritten, or reorganized
We are looking for someone who can quickly understand the business, identify where the website is falling short, and help us turn the site into something sharper, clearer, and more effective.
Initial Paid Project
The initial project will be a fixed-fee paid trial.
Budget: $300–$500 USD
Timeline: 3–5 business days
The deliverables for the initial project should include:
Revised homepage strategy and recommended page flow
Clear recommendation for separating guest booking and property owner audiences
Revised property management page direction
Rewritten homepage hero section
Rewritten sample section from the property management page
Improved CTA recommendations
Trust-building recommendations
Navigation and page-structure recommendations
Clear implementation notes for our designer/developer
If the work is strong, we may continue into a larger rewrite and website content strategy project.
Required Experience
Please do not apply unless you have real experience in at least several of the following areas:
Website strategy
UX/content strategy
Conversion copywriting
Brand messaging
Luxury service businesses
Hospitality or travel brands
Real estate or property management
Owner/investor-facing services
SEO content structure
Website audits
Working directly with designers/developers to improve live websites
You do not need to be a web developer. We already have one.
What we need is someone who can think strategically, write clearly, understand conversion, identify weak execution, and provide useful direction that can actually be implemented.
What This Is Not
This is not a job for someone who is going to send back generic comments like:
“Improve SEO”
“Use stronger calls to action”
“Make the design more modern”
“Add more testimonials”
“Make the content more engaging”
We already understand those surface-level ideas.
We need specific, business-minded recommendations and rewritten content that help move the website forward.
If your feedback is generic, templated, AI-generated, or surface-level, this will not be a fit.
To Apply
Please send:
2–3 examples of relevant website strategy, audit, brand messaging, UX content, or conversion copywriting work
A short explanation of your experience with websites like this
Your process for improving a visually launched but strategically underdeveloped website
Your proposed fixed fee for the initial project
Your availability to begin
Please do not apply with a generic pitch.
Please do not apply if you cannot show relevant work.
Please do not apply if your main value is basic copyediting.
We are looking for someone experienced, direct, strategic, and capable of helping us turn a mediocre launch into a sharp, credible, high-performing website.
