Revenue & Yield Management Specialist
Vacation Rental / Short-Term Rental Industry — Part-Time
Vivid Vacation Rentals is hiring a part-time Revenue & Yield Management Specialist to support pricing strategy, calendar optimization, rate management, occupancy pacing, and revenue performance across our vacation rental portfolio.
This is not an entry-level training role.
We are looking for someone who has already had success in a similar vacation rental revenue management or yield management role and can step into the work with confidence, accuracy, and sound judgment.
This role is not about simply adjusting rates or clicking through software. It requires someone who understands how pricing, availability, booking windows, seasonality, minimum nights, market demand, owner use, and property-specific constraints all work together to impact revenue.
Required Experience
You must have previous hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:
Vacation rental revenue management
Yield management
Rate management
Reservations management with pricing responsibility
Channel management
Short-term rental operations with direct calendar and pricing responsibility
We strongly prefer candidates with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in vacation rental revenue management, rate strategy, reservations, channel management, or short-term rental operations.
Experience with tools such as Escapia, Beyond Pricing, PriceLabs, Wheelhouse, Airbnb, VRBO,
The main requirement is that you have done this type of work successfully before and can clearly explain how you think about rates, occupancy, calendar strategy, and revenue opportunities.
What This Role Involves
This position will support the company owner and management team with tactical revenue and yield management work, including:
Reviewing property calendars for rate opportunities
Opening and closing rental availability based on owner instructions
Reviewing minimum rates, base rates, seasonal pricing, and market demand
Identifying underpriced dates before revenue is lost
Making timely rate recommendations
Reviewing occupancy pacing and market trends
Helping ensure homeowners are not leaving money on the table
Reviewing short booking windows and last-minute revenue opportunities
Supporting special cases such as zoning-limited properties, owner-use changes, peak dates, shoulder seasons, event periods, and orphan gaps
Communicating clearly when a pricing issue needs management review
Helping improve the company’s overall pricing discipline and calendar management process
This role requires more than completing assigned tasks. We need someone who can look at a property, calendar, booking window, market demand, rate structure, occupancy pace, and owner limitations — and quickly understand what needs attention.
The Person We Are Looking For
You should be:
Experienced in vacation rental revenue or yield management
Comfortable making tactical pricing recommendations
Able to spot pricing and calendar problems without excessive direction
Fast, accurate, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working independently
Strong in written English communication
Capable of explaining your thinking clearly
Organized and accountable
Able to move with urgency when revenue is at stake
Comfortable working with luxury or higher-value properties where pricing mistakes matter
We are not looking for someone who needs months of basic training.
We are looking for someone who has already done this work and understands the importance of timely, intelligent pricing decisions.
Preferred Background
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
Luxury vacation rentals
U.S.-based short-term rental markets
Owner-facing property management companies
Dynamic pricing strategy
Direct booking strategy
Airbnb, VRBO,
Market pacing, occupancy review, and seasonal rate strategy
Minimum night strategy
Event-based pricing
Revenue reporting
Working with owner use, blackout dates, zoning restrictions, and limited-rental properties
Schedule
This is a part-time remote position.
Exact hours will depend on workload, but the role will require consistent weekly availability and timely response when pricing or calendar decisions need to be made.
This is not a passive role where tasks can sit for days. Revenue opportunities are time-sensitive. We need someone who understands that waiting too long to review rates, open dates, or adjust strategy can directly cost homeowners and the company money.
Compensation
This is a part-time hourly role paying $7–$9 USD per hour, depending on experience, skill level, demonstrated competence, and reliability.
Discretionary performance bonuses may be available for strong execution, including:
Identifying pricing opportunities before revenue is lost
Improving owner revenue performance
Completing work accurately and efficiently
Demonstrating strong judgment with minimal supervision
Communicating clearly and proactively
Helping create better pricing discipline across the portfolio
Compensation growth is based on performance, reliability, and tenure with the company.
