Position Summary:
Safe Hands Maryland is seeking a highly organized and motivated Staffing & Workforce Coordination Specialist to oversee staffing operations and workforce coordination across multiple healthcare staffing platforms. This role is responsible for accessing staffing portals, sourcing healthcare professionals, coordinating assignments, managing workforce communication, and supporting the operational growth of the company.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, tech-savvy, and experienced in working with healthcare staffing systems and provider coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Staffing & Recruitment
Access staffing platforms, including StafferLink, ShiftMed, Homebase, and related workforce systems
Source and coordinate healthcare professionals, including:
CNAs
HHAs
LPNs
RNs
Travel Nurses
Allied Healthcare Providers
Review staffing requests and match qualified providers to open shifts and assignments
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and credential tracking
Workforce Coordination
Maintain communication with current staff regarding schedules, availability, and assignments
Coordinate shift coverage and resolve staffing gaps
Ensure providers meet compliance and onboarding requirements before placement
Monitor attendance, scheduling updates, and workforce performance
Portal & System Management
Manage access and utilization of:
StafferLink
ShiftMed Portal
Homebase
Internal staffing systems
Upload and maintain provider documentation, credentials, and compliance records
Track staffing activity and maintain accurate records within company systems
Administrative Responsibilities
Communicate professionally with vendors, facilities, healthcare providers, and internal leadership
Assist with reporting, scheduling coordination, and operational workflows
Participate in training sessions and workforce meetings
Support company growth initiatives and staffing expansion efforts
Qualifications
Experience in healthcare staffing, scheduling, recruiting, or workforce coordination preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with online staffing portals and healthcare systems
Professional demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of healthcare staffing processes is a plus
