Insurance Eligibility Coordinator - Remote

Work Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (PST)
Compensation: $4.50 per hr - 40 hours per week
Work Setup: Remote

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Insurance Eligibility Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, coordinating with insurance providers, and ensuring all required authorizations are secured before services are rendered.

If you have strong communication skills, experience with insurance verification, and familiarity with EMR systems (especially Epic), this role is a great fit.

Responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility including coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and benefits
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers
- Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations for procedures and services
- Accurately document and maintain patient records in the EMR system (Epic experience is a plus)
- Resolve discrepancies and insurance-related issues in a timely manner
- Contact patients to obtain updated or missing insurance information

Qualifications
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Customer service mindset with professionalism and empathy
- Knowledge of insurance policies and basic medical terminology
- Experience with insurance verification or healthcare support roles preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic is a plus)
- Proficient in data entry and general computer use
