Forex System Tester (MT4/MT5)

About the Role

ImperiumEQ is looking for a Forex EA Tester to take ownership of the validation, optimization, and monitoring of automated trading systems (Expert Advisors).

This role is focused on ensuring system reliability, performance consistency, and risk control through rigorous testing and analysis. You will work closely with trading systems in backtesting, forward environments, and live conditions, helping refine and maintain high-performing automated strategies.


Key Responsibilities

• Execute advanced backtesting using high-quality historical data
• Conduct structured forward testing across demo and live environments
• Optimize EA parameters based on performance metrics and risk profiles
• Monitor live EA performance and proactively identify issues or inefficiencies
• Set up, manage, and maintain VPS environments for uninterrupted EA operation
• Analyze drawdowns, risk exposure, and consistency across multiple systems
• Create detailed performance reports and testing documentation
• Troubleshoot EA issues and coordinate fixes or improvements
• Maintain organized logs of system updates, changes, and test results


Requirements

• Proven experience working with Expert Advisors (testing and optimization)
• Strong proficiency in MT4 and/or MT5 platforms
• Solid understanding of forex market behavior and automated trading systems
• Hands-on experience with both backtesting and forward testing workflows
• Experience managing VPS environments for live trading systems
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to performance metrics and risk
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple systems simultaneously


Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of MQL4 / MQL5 logic
• Experience with multi-EA portfolio testing and optimization
• Familiarity with prop firm rules and performance benchmarks
• Experience integrating AI tools or automation into testing workflows
