AI Automation Developer (Shopify + OpenAI + Supabase) – Long Term

We are building custom AI tools for our Shopify-based business, with the potential to turn some tools into SaaS products.

Most of the logic, structure, workflows, and prompts are already created using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, and AI-generated flows.

Your role is not to build everything from scratch. Your role is to take existing ideas, code, flows, and structures, then turn them into clean working features.

You will help with:

Finishing AI tools and internal systems already started
Connecting APIs such as Shopify, OpenAI, email, and other tools
Building clean backend logic
Improving AI-generated code and workflows
Fixing bugs and improving performance
Creating simple dashboard interfaces
Turning rough ideas into practical working features
Working in small, focused sprints
Keeping systems simple, fast, and efficient

Example projects include:

Shopify order and customer integration
Simple ticket/inbox system
AI reply system based on templates
Action buttons such as refund, dispute, or internal actions
Internal logging system
Basic dashboards for team use
Required Skills

You must be comfortable with:

Shopify API integrations
OpenAI API or similar AI API tools
Supabase and/or PostgreSQL
Backend logic and API connections
Basic frontend/dashboard UI work
Working with AI-generated code and improving it
Automation tools such as Make or n8n
Clear communication and following instructions carefully
Experience Level

Intermediate

You do not need to be a corporate-level software engineer. You do need to be practical, fast, reliable, and able to finish working features without overcomplicating them.

Hours per Week & Schedule

40 hours per week

Schedule is flexible and mostly self-paced, but weekly hours and sprint tasks must be completed. Some overlap with European time is preferred for updates, feedback, and planning.

Pay / Rate

Starting rate: $5 per hour

We will begin with a small paid test task. If you perform well, this can become a long-term full-time role.

As you prove reliability, speed, and technical ability, your pay will increase, your responsibilities will grow, and you will have the opportunity to take ownership of more important systems inside the company.
