Our Mission
At Ever Accountable, we help people break free from pornography addiction. Our app runs silently in the background on people’s devices — blocking harmful content and providing real-time accountability to a trusted partner. It’s over 95?fective. We serve hundreds of thousands of people whose relationships, families, and mental health depend on this working every single day.
If that mission resonates with you, keep reading.
What We’re Building
We’re in the middle of rebuilding our entire platform around a shared Rust core library — one codebase that powers Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, Chrome, and eventually Linux. This is the most ambitious technical project in our company’s history and it’s already in motion.
We’re looking for a Senior Developer to join this effort and help us ship faster. This is not a “maintain the status quo” role. We’re building something new, and we need someone who thrives in that environment.
Your Job
You’ll work alongside our existing platform engineers to build, integrate, and ship features across our supported platforms. Your work will be anchored in the Rust core library, but you’ll be expected to go deep on the platforms themselves when needed.
Concretely, you’ll:
• Build and maintain integrations between the Rust core and platform-native apps (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows)
• Own features end-to-end — from understanding the requirement to shipping to production
• Maintain and improve our GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with a small, senior team — no hand-holding, no micromanagement
• Use AI development tools aggressively to move fast
What Winning Looks Like
• Within your first month, you’ve shipped something meaningful to the codebase on your own
• Within your first 3 months, you’ve delivered a complete platform feature with minimal QA findings
• Within 6 months, you’re moving at full speed, identifying hard problems before they become crises, and the team is shipping faster because you’re here
You’re a Fit If
• You’re fluent in Rust — not just curious about it, you’ve actually used it in production
• You’ve shipped native apps on at least 2 platforms (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin, macOS, Windows/C#)
• You know your way around GitHub Actions — you’ve built or meaningfully improved a CI/CD pipeline
• You use AI coding tools daily and can tell us specifically how — this is not optional at EA
• You write code that QA doesn’t have to find bugs in
• You’re a self-starter who communicates clearly in writing
• You can navigate the dark corners of mobile OS ecosystems (background processes, permissions, battery optimization, accessibility services)
Bonus points for:
• Python/Django backend experience
• Svelte/Tailwind frontend experience
• Having built anything related to content filtering, monitoring, or security software
What We Offer
• Remote-first, async-friendly team
• Work on a product that genuinely changes lives
• Small team = high ownership and direct impact
• Access to AI tools (including Claude Code) — we expect you to use them
• Competitive compensation (discussed in screening)
How to Apply
We use a structured hiring process based on Who: The A Method for Hiring. Here’s what to expect:
1. A short written screening survey (15 minutes)
2. A 30-minute screening call
3. A 1–2 hour “Who Interview” covering your full work history
4. A focused technical interview with a real problem from our codebase
5. Reference checks with your past managers
6. A paid technical project
We take hiring seriously because the people we bring in matter — to the mission, to the team, and to the people we serve.
