Video/Podcast Editor — Institute of Applied Metatheory (IAM)
The Institute of Applied Metatheory seeks a skilled video and podcast editor to shape long-form interviews, lectures, and dialogues into polished episodic content and short-form derivatives across YouTube, podcast platforms, and social channels. The editor will be responsible for the full post-production workflow — multicam assembly, audio leveling and noise reduction, color correction, motion graphics and lower-thirds, chapter markers, captioning, and export for multiple distribution formats — while maintaining a sophisticated, clean visual aesthetic consistent with IAM's brand (rooted in nature, spirit, and symbolic depth). Beyond technical execution, the role requires editorial judgment: identifying the strongest arcs within often-complex philosophical conversations, crafting compelling cold opens and pull-quotes, and producing clip packages that translate dense integrative material for broader audiences without flattening its substance. The ideal candidate is fluent in tools such as Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, Descript, and modern AI-assisted editing workflows; is comfortable working asynchronously with a small distributed team; and brings genuine curiosity about ideas at the intersection of philosophy, culture, and human development.
