Position: AI and Automation Specialist

Salary: Up to $9 per hour

Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)

Working Hours: Flexible, but should be available during UK business hours


Your main responsibilities will be to:

AI Strategy & Opportunity Planning
- Audit current workflows, tools, and operational processes
- Identify high-impact AI and automation opportunities across the business
- Build a clear roadmap of quick wins and longer-term projects
- Recommend practical tools, systems, and implementation priorities

Automation & Systems Design
- Design scalable workflows using platforms such as Zapier, ---------- , APIs, or other similar AI tools
- Build systems that are maintainable, well-documented, and future-ready
- Create assistive AI systems that support staff decision-making
- Improve business efficiency through smart process redesign

Implementation & Execution
- Hands-on build automations where suitable
- Oversee internal tea ---------- mbers or VAs during implementation projects
- Test, refine, and optimise systems after launch
- Ensure solutions deliver measurable value and real-world usability

Reporting, Data & Internal Operations
- Create automated dashboards and reporting systems
- Use AI for data analysis and operational insights
- Improve customer service workflows such as AI-assisted replies or ticket handling
- Build internal knowledge systems for faster access to company information

Ongoing Advisory & Innovation
- Stay current with new AI tools and market developments
- Proactively recommend new ideas, experiments, and efficiency gains
- Continuously improve existing systems over time

You MUST:
- Stay up to date with the latest AI and automation tools, software, and feature updates.
- Think like an operator (focused on outcomes, not just tools)
- Prioritise what actually moves the business forward
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical tea ---------- mbers
- Be proactive in identifying problems and proposing solutions without waiting for instruction

Must-have qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with AI and automation in real business environments (not theoretical work)
- Proven ability to design and implement automations using tools like Zapier, ---------- , APIs or any similar tools.
- Strong experience working with LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Claude, or similar)
- Advanced use of Google Sheets for operational workflows and data handling
- Ability to translate messy or unstructured business processes into clear, scalable systems
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to evaluate ROI, trade-offs, and practicality of solutions

Additional, nice-to-have qualifications:
- Experience with Odoo or similar platforms (Big Plus)
- Background in operations, business process improvement, or consulting.
