Social Media Content/Video Editor (Experienced)

Serene Cosmetic is the UK's leading cosmetic surgery concierge, with a 111K Instagram folders and an audience that lives for transformation content. We work with many high-profile celebrities and our co-founder Lois is the face of the brand, with her to-camera surgery story content consistently outperforming everything else in our niche.

We move fast, we test relentlessly, and we need an editor who can match the pace and the quality.

The Role:
You will be editing short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, plus longer-form YouTube content. The job is to take raw footage and turn it into scroll-stopping, high-retention assets that grow our audience and build authority.

What You'll Do:
- Edit 10-20 short-form videos per day (Reels, TikToks, Shorts), each 15-90 seconds
- Build scroll-stopping hooks in the first 3 seconds (pattern interrupts, curiosity gaps, transformation teases). Scripts and briefs will be provided to you.
- Add captions, b-roll, sound design, trending audio, and on-screen text that retains viewers past the 50% drop-off point
- Edit longer-form YouTube content (8-15 minutes) using Mr Beast-style retention pacing
- Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form angles
- Maintain a tight, recognisable Serene visual style across every asset
- Scripts and briefs will be provided. Bonus if you can also generate your own content ideas and research trends for the business, but not essential


Must-Haves:
- 3+ years editing short-form video for brands, influencers, or agencies (portfolio essential, evidence of work required)
- Ideally fluent in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. CapCut, Edits and similar app-based editors alone may be considered if quality of portfolio work is high enough. Bonus for After Effects experience
- Native-level English comprehension for captioning and hook rewriting
- Strong understanding of current Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube algorithm preferences
- Fast turnaround. Same-day edits when needed
- Reliable internet, backup power, and your own editing rig

* Experience editing in the beauty, cosmetic surgery, wellness, or aesthetics niche
* Familiarity with thumbnail design for YouTube and Instagram
* Experience using Google Docs/Business Suite
