JOB OVERVIEW

How you'll contribute:
Financial Accuracy & Compliance
-Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
-Maintain clean books, ensuring all transactions are properly classified and recorded.
-Assist in local compliance and regulatory filings.
-Month-End Close & Reconciliations
-Lead month-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and financial reports are prepared on time.
-Conduct bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
-Identify and resolve discrepancies and anomalies before final reporting.
Bookkeeping Oversight & Supervision
-Supervise and support junior bookkeepers to ensure data accuracy and efficient financial processing.
-Provide guidance, training, and reviews to maintain high accounting standards.
Process Improvement & Reporting
-Identify gaps in financial processes and suggest efficiencies for better reporting and compliance.
-Work closely with the CFO to provide insights and reports for strategic decision-making.
-Assist in implementing financial controls and best practices.

What you'll need to succeed in this role:
Stickler for details and you're highly organized - good at organizing others too!
Proven track record as an Accountant with more than 5+ years experience.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
Experience managing or supervising bookkeepers or junior accountants.
Proficiency in accounting software – Both Xero and QuickBooks.
High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Comprehensive understanding of professional services business operations.
Considerate person and know how to navigate human relationships diplomatically to achieve objectives.
You work fast and pride yourself in getting a lot done in a short amount of time.
Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting.
Highly collaborative and communicative. You love working with others and are good at taking and giving instructions to achieve a common objective.
You have great English speaking and writing capability.
You're growth-minded and take responsibility for your own professional development, including staying up to date with the latest industry trends.
You are experienced in using practice management software.
