We are Vertofix, a fast-growing German e-commerce brand in the back pain / sciatica relief niche. We sell via Shopify to customers aged 55-68 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. We are scaling aggressively and need someone who keeps our Shopify store optimized, implements funnel changes, and makes sure nothing breaks while we grow.
This is a technical execution role with strategic impact. Every change you make on the store directly affects our conversion rate and revenue.

Position: Shopify Manager & Web Developer
Type: Remote
Start: ASAP
Workload: 10-20 hours per week
Daily Work: Implement store changes, build landing pages, set up upsells, fix bugs, optimize for conversions
???? Compensation
Starting Rate: $4/hour (depending on skill level)
Growth:
More hours as we add products and funnels
Higher pay based on performance and complexity of work
Long-term position with increasing responsibility
???? Your Role
Your job is to:
Manage and maintain our Shopify store daily
Build and edit landing pages and advertorial pages
Implement and optimize post-purchase upsells (OTOs)
Set up order bumps and in-cart upsells
A/B test product pages, pricing, and page layouts
Install and configure Shopify apps
Fix bugs and broken elements quickly
Ensure mobile optimization (80%+ of our traffic is mobile)
Implement tracking pixels and conversion scripts when needed
???? Responsibilities
Build new landing pages based on designs or wireframes we provide
Set up and optimize post-purchase upsell flows (using apps like ReConvert, AfterSell, or similar)
Create and manage order bump offers on checkout
Edit product pages (copy, images, layout, trust badges, social proof sections)
Monitor site speed and fix anything that slows it down
Set up and manage discount codes and promotions
Implement Zigpoll post-purchase surveys
Manage Klaviyo integration with Shopify
Add fake comment sections or social proof elements to advertorial pages when needed
Ensure all pages work perfectly on mobile devices
? Requirements (IMPORTANT)
You MUST have:
At least 6 months experience managing a live Shopify store that was actively selling and running paid traffic
Experience with Shopify Liquid (basic code editing — not just drag and drop)
Experience setting up post-purchase upsells / OTOs
Experience building custom landing pages on Shopify
Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) — you know what makes people buy
Experience with at least 3 of these apps: ReConvert, AfterSell, PageFly, GemPages, Zipify, Vitals, Loox, ----------
Mobile-first mindset — everything you build must look perfect on phone

You only know WordPress or WooCommerce
You have never worked on a store doing real revenue with paid traffic
You only use drag-and-drop and cannot touch Liquid code
You take 3 days to make a small page edit
You don't test your work on mobile before delivering

If you have not worked for at least 3 different e-commerce stores or brands in this role, DO NOT apply. We are not looking for beginners. We are not looking for people who "want to learn." We need someone who has done this before, multiple times, for real businesses with real revenue.
If you have worked for only 1 or 2 stores, you are not ready for this role. No exceptions. We will ask for proof during the interview process.
