JOB OVERVIEW

READ THIS FIRST
We hire based on execution, not resumes.

We are looking for a Meta Ads video editor who can turn detailed ad briefings, voice-overs, scripts, and B-roll directions into high-converting skincare creatives.

This is not a basic video editing role.

You need to understand direct response editing, VSL-style ads, B-roll driven storytelling, hook pacing, visual retention, and how Meta ads need to feel in the first 3 seconds.

You will start with a paid test video.

Paid test structure:

Up to 60 seconds: $5
Over 60 seconds: $10

If your test is strong, we are looking for a long-term part-time editor, with the possibility to grow into a full-time or lead editor role.

ABOUT US

We are building ELYVIA, a premium skincare brand focused on at-home infusion treatments.

Our hero product is a systtem designed for women who want smoother-looking, firmer-looking and more refined skin from home.

Our ads focus on topics such as:

sagging jowls and lower-face ageing
acne scarring and uneven texture
under-eye bags
skincare products only working at the surface level
clinic treatments being expensive, inconvenient, or too invasive

We create performance-driven Meta ads for the UK market.

You will receive detailed scripts, voice-overs, and structured briefings. For example, our current ad briefings include full scripts, timed B-roll scenes, product shots, animation needs, before/after visuals, and direct-response structure for creatives.

We need an editor who can take this level of briefing and turn it into a polished, high-converting video ad.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will edit Meta ads using:

VSL-style editing
B-roll storytelling
product visuals
AI UGC or avatar footage when needed
skincare mechanism animations
before/after proof visuals
subtitles and retention-focused text
sound design and pacing
clean mobile-first 9:16 formatting

You will receive:

finished scripts
voice-over files
detailed scene-by-scene briefings
access to our B-roll library
product assets
examples of previous ads

We expect you to source additional visuals yourself when the briefing requires something we do not have.

For example, if the script mentions collagen support, micro-channels, peptide serum delivery, acne scar texture, clinic microneedling, jawline sagging, or skin-layer animations, you need to be able to find, create, or source suitable visuals that match the message.

Some of our scripts require shots every 2–4 seconds, with longer animations where needed for mechanism explanations.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO
Edit high-converting Meta ads, not just nice-looking videos
Understand direct response creative structure
Build VSL-style ads from a voice-over
Match visuals tightly to every line of the script
Source strong B-roll when our library does not cover a scene
Create or source simple skincare animations
Add clean subtitles and on-screen text
Improve pacing, retention, and visual clarity
Make premium skincare ads that feel trustworthy, not cheap or dropshipping
Work independently without needing every shot explained twice
Follow a detailed briefing while still bringing creative input

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

You should have experience with at least one of these:

Meta ad creatives
VSL ads
direct response video ads
UGC-style ads
ecommerce product ads
skincare / beauty / wellness ads
B-roll driven video ads

Experience with skincare, beauty, health, wellness, or direct-response ecommerce is a strong plus.

SOFTWARE / TOOLS

You must have your own editing software and tools.

Examples:

Adobe Premiere Pro
After Effects
CapCut Pro
DaVinci Resolve
Final Cut Pro
Motion graphics / animation tools
stock footage platforms
AI video tools if relevant

We do not provide editing software. You are expected to already have the tools you need.

IMPORTANT SKILLS

We are specifically looking for someone who understands:

how to make the first 3 seconds scroll-stopping
how to keep visual pacing tight
how to make scripts easy to follow visually
how to source relevant B-roll
how to create visual contrast between “problem” and “solution”
how to edit before/after proof sections
how to use animations for mechanism explanation
how to make skincare ads look premium and credible
how to edit for Meta ads, not YouTube or long-form content

HOW WE WORK

We give clear direction.

You will usually receive:

script
voice-over
example competitor ad
scene-by-scene briefing
B-roll notes
brand direction
product assets
access to our B-roll library

But we do not want someone who only places the exact files we provide.

A strong editor should be able to look at the script, understand the emotional and conversion goal, and source missing visuals where needed.

If a scene says “skin-layer collagen support animation” or “woman 50+ touching sagging jawline area,” we expect you to understand what visual is needed and find or create something that fits.

COMPENSATION

We start with a paid test.

Paid test structure:

Test video up to 60 seconds: $5
Test video over 60 seconds: $10

After the test, if the quality is strong, we discuss ongoing work.

Long-term compensation can include:

part-time fixed pay
consistent weekly editing workload
bonuses for winning creatives
higher pay as performance improves
potential full-time or lead editor role

We are not looking for a one-off freelancer. We are looking for someone who can grow with the brand.

TEST VIDEO

For the test, you will receive:

a script
voice-over
example ad / reference
access to base assets
detailed creative briefing
B-roll notes

You are expected to create a complete Meta ad.

We will evaluate:

hook strength
pacing
visual matching
B-roll sourcing
sound design
structure
clarity
premium skincare feel
ability to follow the briefing
ability to improve the creative with your own judgement

HOW TO APPLY

SEND:
Your portfolio
Examples of Meta ads, VSL ads, UGC ads, or ecommerce ads you edited
What editing software you use
Whether you can source B-roll yourself
Whether you can create or source simple skincare / skin-layer animations
How you approach the first 3 seconds of a Meta ad

IMPORTANT

Please only apply if you are comfortable working with detailed ad briefings and performance-focused scripts.

Do not apply if:

you only do basic cuts
you cannot source visuals yourself
you do not understand Meta ad pacing
you cannot work from a structured briefing
you do not have your own editing software
you cannot show a relevant portfolio

If you meet most of the requirements but not all, you can still apply. Just be honest about your skill level and show us your best work.

We are happy to train the right person, but you must already have a strong editing foundation and a good eye for ads.

Kind regards,

Syfax.
