About Us:
Profitability Partners is a distinguished fractional CFO business based in Florida, specializing in delivering financial expertise to contractor and home service businesses. We are on the lookout for a highly experienced Senior Accountant with a comprehensive background in audit, and general accounting/bookkeeping practices particularly on an accrual pasis. This remote, full-time opportunity is ideal for an overseas professional eager to take on a central role in our expansion, with the potential to grow into a managerial position overseeing our accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Month-End and Year-End Closing:

Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
Conduct thorough account reconciliations and adjust journal entries to reflect the correct financial position.
Prepare detailed financial reports and statements, analyzing for variances and providing insights on financial status.

General Accounting & Financial Management:
Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records and general ledgers.
Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payroll.

Accrual Based Accounting
Prepare client books on an accrual basis - including revenue recognition, COGS recognition timing, and operating expense cost recognition.
Reconcile payment processors and tie data to CRM with journal entries.
Preparation of accrual based working papers
Proper AP/AR balance sheet reconciliation

Qualifications:
Experience working with home services and other businesses with manual invoice data and complicated contracts
Experience working with clients in the 5mm-30mm revenue range
Previous experience working with US based accounting/bookkeeping firms as well as background in audit.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
CPA certification is required.
At least 3 years of GAAP-based accounting experience, with a focus on audit with time spent at a Big 4 accounting firm.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks desktop and online).
C1 level or higher proficiency in English.
Demonstrated expertise in managing full-cycle accounting and tax filing processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A strong sense of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
