About Us
We are a UK-based eCommerce brand importing products internationally and selling through online platforms. We are looking for a highly reliable and experienced Import & Logistics Coordinator with strong knowledge of importing goods from China to the UK.
This role is best suited for someone who understands the full import process end-to-end, can work independently, and is confident managing suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping documentation, and shipment issues with minimal supervision.
We are looking for someone knowledgeable, detail-oriented, proactive, and trustworthy.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate international shipments, primarily imports from China to the UK
* Manage communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs brokers
* Handle and review shipping documents including:
• Commercial invoices
• Packing lists
• HS codes
• Shipping labels and customs documents
* Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or logistics issues
* Calculate landed costs including duties, VAT, freight, and related charges
* Ensure imports comply with UK customs and shipping requirements
* Monitor shipment timelines and follow up consistently to avoid delays
* Maintain accurate logistics records and reporting
Requirements
* Proven hands-on experience in import/export, freight forwarding, or logistics coordination
* Strong understanding of importing goods from China to the UK
* In-depth knowledge of:
• Incoterms (FOB, EXW, CIF, etc.)
• Shipping documentation
• Customs clearance processes
• Freight coordination
* Experience coordinating with suppliers in China or Asia
* Ability to independently manage shipments from supplier to warehouse delivery
* Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
* Excellent English communication skills
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable
* Reliable internet connection and remote work setup
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with eCommerce brands (Amazon, Shopify, eBay, etc.)
* Familiarity with UK import regulations and VAT processes
* Experience using freight platforms, ERPs, or shipment tracking systems
* Strong Excel or reporting skills

Working Hours
Flexible, but must have some overlap with UK business hours for communication and coordination.
Compensation
Starting rate: $3/hour
Potential pay increases based on performance, reliability, and experience
