JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a strategic and organised Social Media & Content VA to own our content output across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Branded graphics and visual assets are provided to you, you focus on strategy, captions, scheduling, engagement, community management, and blogs.

This is not a design role. We need someone who understands audience, voice, and engagement, someone who can take a finished asset and know exactly how to position it, caption it, and get it in front of the right people.

This is a 2-day per week part-time role to start with genuine potential to grow. You will work directly with the business owner.

What You Will Be Doing
Social Media — All Platforms (Primary Focus)
• Receive branded graphics and video assets weekly from our in-house designer and schedule across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google My business and LinkedIn - we use Metricool - you will need to adjust content to reflect the relevant channel e.g. cant have link in bio for Facebook
• Write captions, hooks, and calls-to-action that match our brand voice, professional, approachable, and clear
• Maintain a content calendar planned at least 2 weeks ahead
• Research relevant trends, audio, and hashtags to maximise organic reach
• Monitor and respond to comments and DMs to drive genuine engagement
• Provide a simple fortnightly performance report, reach, engagement, follower growth, and what is and isn’t working

Use Manychat to set up DM workflows for increased engagement

Facebook
Group Management
• Actively manage and engage the >Facebook community group, not just post into it
• Welcome new members, prompt discussion, and keep the group alive and on-brand
• Repurpose content from our asset library into group-appropriate posts and conversation starters
• Monitor and moderate to maintain a positive, professional environment

Blog Content (Fortnightly)
• Work within an existing GPT-assisted blog workflow, brief is provided, you refine and finalise the draft
• Ensure posts are well-structured, on-brand, and ready for business owner review before publishing
• Basic SEO awareness, headings, keywords, and readability

What We Need From You
Please read this carefully. We will ask about these during the hiring process.

Non-negotiable requirements
• Minimum 2–3 years managing social media for a brand, not just personal accounts
• Proven experience across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google My Business and LinkedIn
• Strong written English and the ability to write in a brand voice that is not your own
• Strategic thinker, you understand what makes content perform, not just what makes it look nice
• Exceptional attention to detail, wrong links, typos, and off-brand content are not acceptable
• Proactive, you suggest ideas and spot opportunities without being told
• Available during Australian business hours (at least partial overlap)

Highly regarded
• Experience managing a >Facebook community group or membership
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and TikTok Business Center
• Experience supporting a personal brand, educator, or service-based business
• Blog or content writing experience
• Experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools

What Good Looks Like in This Role
• You treat the Facebook group like a real community, not a content dump
• You understand the difference between posting content and building an audience
• You can look at a branded graphic or b-roll clip and know instinctively how to position it
• You flag content ideas, trends, and opportunities proactively
• Every piece of content is self-checked before it reaches us
• You meet deadlines without being chased and communicate when something is blocked

What We Offer
• Stable, long-term part-time role with room to grow
• Branded asset library provided, graphics and video assets ready to use each week
• Direct access to the business owner, clear briefs and fast feedback
• A focused content role where your strategic thinking is genuinely valued

How to Apply
We read every application carefully. Generic applications will not be considered. Please send us the following:

• A short intro (3–5 sentences): who you are, what brands you have managed social media for, and what platform you are strongest on.
• Your social media experience: platforms managed, content types, posting frequency, and a result you are proud of.
• A link or example: of social media content you have managed, a profile, a post, or a portfolio. Anonymise if needed.
• One content idea: suggest one piece of content you would create for a legal services brand targeting small business owners. Just one or two sentences, we want to see how you think.
• Start your application with the words “Content Ready” so we know you have read this in full.

Applications that do not follow these instructions will not be reviewed.
