Senior CPA Advisor — Family Office (Long-Term, Fractional, Remote)
We are a U.S.-based family office looking for a senior Philippine CPA to serve as fractional financial advisor — not a bookkeeper. We already have a senior bookkeeper.
This role is the layer above: oversight, advisory, and CEO-level financial counsel. About 10–20 hours per month, long-term partnership, $22–30 USD/hour based on credentials and experience.
About the Family Office --------
The CEO leads (1) Performance Excellence Partners, a multimillion-dollar U.S. federal government contracting company (woman-owned), (2) a portfolio of residential rental properties held in multiple LLCs, (3) a coaching and leadership practice, and (4) ongoing nonprofit work.
The books are clean. The bookkeeper is capable. We need a senior advisor who looks at the whole picture and helps the CEO make better decisions across all of it.
What You'll Actually Do --------
- Monthly oversight (the recurring rhythm):
- Review the bookkeeper's monthly close package; call out anything that's off
- Verify multi-entity reporting and intercompany transactions are clean
- 1–2 hour monthly advisory call with the CEO — financial review, insights, and recommendations in plain language
- Strategic advisory (where you add the most value):
- Annual budget development across the parent company and affiliated entities
- Tax strategy across the federal contracting business, real estate LLCs, and personal — coordinating with the CEO's U.S. tax accountant
- Multi-entity structuring advice (when to spin up a new LLC, when to consolidate)
- Scenario modeling for major decisions (new contracts, headcount, property acquisitions, financing)
- Personal financial statements for loan and certification packages
- Real estate financial advisory
- Government contracting financial work (specialty area):
- Proposal budget support on federal RFPs
- Indirect rate structure (fringe / overhead / G&A), provisional billing rates, forward pricing
- DCAA audit readiness and incurred cost submissions
- FAR Part 31 cost principle compliance
A note on the GovCon piece: this is the rarest specialty in the PH CPA market. If you have it, you're a top-tier candidate. If you don't but you can learn it quickly, apply anyway and tell us how you'd ramp — we'll support you with a U.S. GovCon CPA you can collaborate with.
Required --------
- Philippine CPA license (current, in good standing)
- 7+ years of accounting / advisory experience
- Substantial U.S. client experience (U.S. GAAP fluency, QuickBooks proficiency)
- Multi-entity / LLC accounting experience
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Available for a recurring monthly call in U.S. Pacific business hours
- Advisory mindset — confident, direct, proactive
- Strongly Preferred (any one moves you up the stack)
- U.S. CPA, CMA, or equivalent additional credential
- U.S. federal government contracting experience (FAR, DCAA, indirect rates)
- Real estate accounting experience
- Fractional CFO or family office advisor experience
- Big 4 or top mid-tier audit / advisory background
What you don't need: to also be the bookkeeper. We have someone for that.
Engagement Terms
- Long-term — we're hiring a partner, not a project resource
- $22–30 USD/hour based on credentials and U.S. specialty depth
- Paid monthly via Wise or direct bank transfer
- Optional small monthly retainer for guaranteed availability during proposal/audit windows
To Apply -------->. Just click apply. In your application message, please include:
- 2–3 sentences on the U.S. clients you've served and what you did for them
- Two areas of this role where you'd be strongest, and one where you'd want support
- Your expected hourly rate
- Your PH CPA license number and year obtained
- Resume / CV optional but appreciated.
- Linkedin / Website URL
- Optional: a Loom video link (3–5 min) introducing yourself
Thank you, we look forward to reviewing your information.
