We are a growing, multi-location insurance agency focused on delivering high-quality service and building long-term client relationships. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant/Bookkeeper to help keep our financials clean, organized, and up to date.

Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time Accountant or Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate records in QuickBooks, and support overall financial organization. This role is critical to ensuring clean books, proper documentation, and readiness for tax filing and financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Record and categorize all income and expenses in QuickBooks
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial statements regularly
Upload, organize, and attach receipts and supporting documents within QuickBooks
Maintain clean and audit-ready financial records
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
Assist with invoicing and tracking incoming payments
Prepare monthly financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively
Support year-end closing and collaborate with CPA/tax preparer
Recommend improvements for financial processes and efficiency
Qualifications
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant (preferably with small businesses)
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Online preferred)
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data
Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines
Experience in insurance, financial services, or multi-entity businesses is a plus
Nice to Have
Experience with multi-location or multi-entity accounting
Familiarity with commission-based income tracking
Experience integrating bank feeds, POS systems, or CRM tools with QuickBooks
Compensation
Hourly rate based on experience
