Legal Assistant (U.S. Law Firm – High-Performance Role)

The Opportunity

Habibi Law APC is a fast-scaling California workers’ compensation defense firm seeking a high-level Legal Assistant to support our litigation team.

You will work directly with senior staff in a structured, high-performance environment where accuracy, speed, and accountability are critical.

This is not a basic virtual assistant role.
We are building a team of elite operators who can execute consistently at a high level.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

* Preparing and filing legal documents (including EAMS filings)
* Opening and maintaining case files with precision and consistency
* Organizing and summarizing medical records for attorney review
* Preparing files for hearings with a trial-ready mindset
* Managing calendars, deadlines, and case timelines
* Supporting attorneys in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation environment

* Able to follow instructions precisely without repeated guidance
* Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
* Responsive and reliable with strong communication skills

Preferred Experience (Strong Advantage, Not Mandatory)

* Experience working with U.S. law firms
* Legal assistant / paralegal background
* Experience with litigation files
* Familiarity with case management systems (such as MerusCase or similar)
* Exposure to workers’ compensation or insurance defense

Compensation

Competitive and based on experience ($6–$12/hour)
